well, that's the way your post read. my bad.

As I said to Halcyon before, I think there are people on both sides of the issue making solid points (whether through humor or logic) in this thread, but there's no denying there are also a few proper twats who really could care less about debating the merits or evils of religion and would rather just stir up with a topic that's a sure bet.

Beyond that, threads like these really have become a lot like "Trance is Dead" or "Sean Tyas" threads; predictable and bland with the key players positions already well documented, and little hope of anything new or interesting.

And please don't take this as a slight against you or your rampant atheism - it's really more of a situation similar to when you watch Star Wars too many times in a week, you're going to get a little tired of Han Solo eventually no matter how cool he is.

im 100% certain that you are incapable of adding anything even remotely intellectually challenging to this debate.

So what? Why would I even waste my time? LoL...I don't have anything to prove, because I don't have a pencil dick. :p

I know what I believe, and someone else's differing opinion doesn't make my beliefs less true. So yeah, I stay away from crap like this.

Religious beliefs are being rammmed down every americans throat whether the want it or not. Policies and laws are being created based on christain beliefs. 2 very good examples
A) Abortion is under heavy fire
B) Terri Schiavo's national ordeal

The abortion issue is way more complex then what it seems. Abortion goes further then only a religious issue. Imagine a society where abortion was legal. I do not see the United States ready or mature enough where people would be responsible enough to not have such laws imposed.

I think that each individual has free agency to choose their own path, but it's another to provide the tools for others to over use those rights, and Abortion is one that's not to be played around with. I don't support abortion, but I don't agree on been one to impose the whole nation on doing so. I believe on Abortion on rare cases only.

Terri Schiavo case was one big mistake of Bush trying to get into it.

My apologies. Now if you'd go ahead and prove the theory of evolution as true while at the same time proving the theory of creationism false, that'd be greeeat.
