First, they do vocalize their opinions in the media...a lot. Almost everything the ACLU does now that relates to religion (and most of what they do relates to religion) is rooted in, at the very least, the defense of atheist beliefs.
Second, you have to consider that atheism is seen as being very liberal stance, with regards to politics.
The ACLU isn't pushing an atheist agenda, unless thats what you call making sure there is separation between church and state and that no one is required to believe in any God.

Regardless of what you'd like to think, over 90% of the members of the media vote for democrats, and nobody is devoid of bias.
That liberal media argument is old, and has been debunked time after time.

You'll see a lot more crazy 'Christians' than you will delusional atheists on tv or in the media, due to that fact alone.
I'm not sure I follow that relation.

The media is full of liberals (and since atheists = liberals, it is by association full of atheists) so thats why they put more Christian whackos on TV?

4. I didn't say atheists were more or less vocal than religious people. I simply noted that the idea that they are not outspoken, or don't make remarks that wind up in the media, or that they stick more to "academia" for their debates is not true.
It is though. The prevalence of God (mostly the christian version) in this country far outweighs that of an atheist point of view.

Quite simply, yes they are. Their stated purpose is perfectly admirable, but their actions serve an alternate purpose.

No, it really hasn't.

Most atheists are liberals. That doesn't mean that most liberals are atheists. It's like the square/rectangle thing. The reason they put more Christian wackos on tv is that there are more of them (there are far more Christians, so, logically, that follows) and because it is seen as being related to a political position they disagree with (hate would be more accurate). It's not because they're atheists.

Yes, it far outweighs it, but I'm simply speaking to proportions. Obviously, there are far fewer atheists of any sort (reasonable, insane, respectful, prejudiced, etc.) than there are of any such sort of Christians. The point I was making was in reference to how atheists express their views (intent), not necessarily to the effect it had.
