My apologies. Now if you'd go ahead and prove the theory of evolution as true while at the same time proving the theory of creationism false, that'd be greeeat. |
oh wow :stongue:
we've got a live one here folks!! i have neither the time nor the effort (and to be honest the expertise) to get into that topic with you.
however, since creationism has yet to provide a SINGLE scientific fact in its favour, and evolution is proven beyond reasonable doubt time and time again through various observations, the onus really is on you to show why creationism is of ANY validity whatsoever when making such statements.
if you'd like some light reading on the subject, please read the PDD thread HERE |

I feel a "that's why it's called a 'theory'" argument coming on here.
And it might make me throw up in my mouth a little bit. |

So do you deny the bulk of modern science including evolutionary biology, geology, and animal biology?
:conf: |
Absolutely not. I believe you missed my point completely.
Seems to me, though, that if the theory of evolution was proven true while at the same time creationism was proven to be false- we wouldn't be having this conversation on TA right now, would we? |

here's the kicker about faith mate: no matter how much evidence is provided showing particular beliefs to be incorrect, those of religious persuasion will ignore or pervert the facts. where do you think creationism or intelligent design came from?
case in point: how many people really believe the world is less than 10,000 years old? we've PROVED, beyond what any reasonable person would infer, that the universe is BILLIONS of years old. yet people still cling to their belief. i think your position is naive in the extreme. |

inconspicuous nailed it on the head. Why are we all automatically treated as deranged loonies when more often than not we're the more balanced ones? |
I think it's because Science all but disproves the actual existence of a god in any the conventional sense. To be a follower of the main organised religions and believe in science you have to either be a ing lunatic, or a .
I was 10 when I realised god didn't exist and that religion was the root of everything that was wrong with the world, and I'd like to say I feel sorry for people who live their lives blindly following outdated bull texts written by sadists and freaks, but I don't, I laugh at them. I raised my own consciousness when I was ing 10, if you're too thick to have done it by whatever age you are, thats your own ing fault. Keep your retardation to yourself, noone wants to hear your mental theories anymore, you're corrupting the worlds young and jeopardising the continuation of the section of the human race that doesn't subscribe to your absolute dog. Nothing you do is good and you will not goto heaven and their won't be 72 virgins waiting for you. |

I agree.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not supporting the theory of creationism. I'm agnostic. I'm open minded to different possibilities because I don't claim to have all the answers and never plan to.
I do believe, however, that creationism will never be proven false. It's impossible. Therefore, I disagree with your comment that evolution has proven creationism false time and time again.
That's all. |
