Lol good point. But you do need the bluetooth application with the new laws in Ontario. You could get it after-market too. It comes standard with Ford.

Just when making this choice couldn't become more difficult, I have to ask for all your opinions about another aspect. Front wheel drive versus all wheel drive.

As you all know I was looking at the Subaru Impreza today and test drove the out of it. It was fun. But I heard the repair costs on the drivetrain for an AWD vehicle is double to triple the cost of that of a FWD. Obviously there are benefits to having the AWD drive in the winter for added control but what else may the pros and cons be, and is the AWD v.s. FWD worth shelling out an additional 3.5k for the Impreza?

Good question.
Subaru has the best AWD system in the world since they are the founders of the mechanism.
All wheel drive is always going to be expensive because the entire suspension structure is quite different & complex from a front wheel drive. The powertrain manages the breaking system systematically according to the road conditions and speed. The engine supplies the each wheel independently with torque.
The Impreza awd is a exceptional car but as mentioning before if something malfunctions be ready to spend quite a bit. Yes, every car does encounter problems but what can you do?
Subaru displays as usual excellent craftsmanship & engineering and it's not an GM or Chrysler. You will never go wrong with any of Japanese automobiles :)

Go with the focus. They are amazing cars, just as reliabile as the others on the list and you'll save a ton.

Oh, I forgot to mention the Honda Civic. The service at the dealership here was pretty bad though, and I don't like bad service!

The service I got at a Honda dealership around the GTA was awesome....mostly b/c I'm positive I've seen that particular asian guy partying it up at Guv on Saturday nights :D Too bad he didn't have exactly what I wanted in stock and I decided no on the Acura.

Lol.

Both highly incorrect.

Four wheel drive was there even before Subaru existed as a company. Subaru started using it in their cars around mid 1990's.

And as for you will never go wrong with a japanese automobile...I am pretty sure Toyota has had the highest number of recalls ever experienced by any Automotive company.

You have every right to laugh but also every right to appear as an imbecile on a public forum.

Wasn't Subaru in the market already in the 1980's?
Toyota did have a small percentage to technical problems that the engineers thought would develop with Corolla models 07'.
According to your statement, are you implying that Japanese manufactures aren't splendid?

Ah yes... Jackie Chan drove a Subaru GL 4WD hatchback with a rocket engine in 1981's The Cannonball Run.
