3. dont install it pls.
im not trying to be a dick either or hold you back in some way. I am trying to provide you with the proper knowledge to go forward with this mod.
glare and improper upticks blind oncoming motorists no matter how hella tight you think it looks
that is unsafe.
welcome to owning and modding a car properly. it cost money unfortunately. |
Well he doesnt have the funds to do it that way right now so this will have to do. Lots of people do it this way and even though it may be brighter with oncoming traffic its not like you have to stare directly into the other vehicles headlights. |

I've seen it done to many other cars, friends etc... never really bothered me. I agree with you on your points, and in a ideal world I would have that money to buy the $300+ kits for each light, and maybe I will, but in the meantime for now... I'll see what these do.
My friend at work did it to his Mazda 3 Hatch, looks awesome... same kit he said. |
Did you actually order proper HID bulbs??
Do they come with ballast, igniters, and all of the proper wiring??
I'm curious as to what you bought...
Pics or links if you can Sandeep... |

so yes you do run into that problem. not as bad as a pure halogen housing but its still there.
so either retro proper hid projectors or run the mazdaspeed units.
or it is just a hazard for other drivers. |
The projector part is just the lens bud...
It's what directs the light downward...
The HID upgrade has to do with the bulbs. I got projector housings for my Golf. They took the standard H7 bulb. I upgraded to full HID's but used the same housing...
My wife had a 2006 with standard bulb projectors( all 3's have projector housings) and they shone a nice line well under the line of site of other drivers...
Now if someone was to have them aimed too high, yes there would be a blinding problem for sure... |

Yup that's the same kind of set-up that I have on mine...
Been on there about a year and a half with no probs...
I did have to modify the back of the housing though. A hole was needed to pass the wire through...
Only diff is I got 7000K. I like a bit more blue... |

| Yeah, Between 5,000 and 8,0000k is acceptable. Anything lower or higher is just weird looking. |

*facepalm*
you need to learn more on this.
http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html
4300k is also the right temp if you are wanting the most light.
seriously you all need to go back and read the link i provided.

If he doesnt have the money for a proper set up he shoudnt do anything until he does. no one said modifying your car was cheap. and not having another $300 is no excuse for doing it improperly.
this kind of mod is totally unsafe for other drivers coming towards you. thats why its a bigger deal..than say, painting your interior or something else silly like that. |

I even provided a specific mazda 3 link
http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/s...h-HID-Projector
improper (these are all halogen projector pics) upticks and hot spots = glare. Unsafe

proper(using a proper HID projector. )

you dont have to directly look at the improper set ups to be blinded either.
just tossing a kit into a car is pure ricer and unsafe. Do it properly or dont do it at all.
You think oh i have projectors its fine. Nope. its not. halogen projectors have different optics to HID projectors and thats something none of you seem to be grasping. Its all in the links I provided(and the pics now)

Not even close to being the same. The HID assemblies have a very sharp cut off, better light pattern and is a different beast all together. Simply putting an aftermarket HID kit into your halogen projects DOES NOT make them the same as OEM HIDs. |
hidplanet forums(and/or toronto mazda 3 lighting forums) if you want to really learn up on it. |

Yellow should only be used for fogs...
It's the European thing to do.. |
