The Russian team has a set play they use when a player comes out of the penalty box. Also, Ovechkin isn't known for he defensive skills so he wasn't going to be out there on the penalty kill.

BTW Kovalchuk, Malkin and Ovechkin, pretty quiet for the night. I was actually surprised I didn't see or hear any of their names the first 12 minutes or so of the game.
We'll make it into the finals if we play a good team game like we did today. Especially in the first period. Man o man the talent and skill of these guys working together. After the olympics are over you'll see mediocre hockey at its best!
The All star game isnt even this fun to watch cause no one is going 100%. They are just ing around.

Was good to see Chris Cuthbert do the play by play instead of Gord Miller for the Canada game this time.. he hits the high notes better and that's why TSN pays him the big bucks.
