Oh, I'm not just a racist. I'm also close-minded, I dislike anyone who doesn't mix like a prog DJ, I only listen to Ableton DJs and have been conditioned to think there's no acceptable alternative, I don't know anything about disco, I commodify music to the extent I get enraged about not getting entertained in exchange for £17, I don't understand selection, programming and placement, I'm uptight, self-loathing and I have ADD. |
And you're not just sure about all this, you're HIV positive. |

The DJ makes a transition that sounds like a couple of horses galloping along. What do you do?
(pg 57) Cheer and keep on dancing.
(pg 68) Leave the floor in disgust.
(pg 77) Make a mental note to write a critique on your favorite message board. |

?? I didn't suggest that. If anything he's too far behind the curve |

Ok, fair criticism. Instead I will compare him rather to someone like Werner Herzog. |
Stop comparing him to vastly more iconic figures. A DJ who can't perform basic DJ skills is no comparison to an actual icon like Werner Herzog. |

I'm pretty sure nefardec was aiming for sardonically self-effacing irony, with his suggestion of Mr. Herzog. |

Did I say you had? sg_57 hadn't just used the word "visionary" vaguely, he'd anchored it to a specific example. You can come up with you own ideas about how Parrish might be "visionary", but they don't have much relevance to what we were talking about. |

p.77 - You have chosen to make a mental note to write a critique on your favorite message board. Upon doing so the next day, you find yourself trapped in an endless spiral of self-loathing and despair. You have become a message board zombie. |

Aw he did not just quote Kurt Vonnegut! I can't wait for Eddie's response. The tension is at a fever pitch.
Off in the distance, that standoff music from old westerns plays, a tumbleweed rolls past. They stand, eye to eye, neither blinking, although Eddie suffers from glaucoma so he is really struggling not to blink, but he doesn't anyways.... |
