I honestly don't know if I feel that's accurate. There were moments it looked crazy... then moments it looked tame. Part of me wonders if it was the camera angles.
Still, if you noticed... not a single laser ever pointed even on a straight plane... all were pointed up towards the sky. I'm jsut saying don't expect the crowd pans QDance usually has. US law forbids it. |

Camping at EDC Vegas? I agree with a post I saw way in the back - imagine at 6 AM going back to ur tent, falling asleep by 7 AM... and then its June in the Las Vegas desert. You wouldn't make it past 9 AM in that heat in a tent. You're done.
If they changed the hours, and made it more of a day event, that could work... but I'd rather have it go til 6 AM!

I wish they had some decent trance on the line up. its the same crummy commercial crap over and over. |
They booked Eco, Kristina Sky, W&W, Armin... I do think they could use some more un-commercial trance, but overall there is something for everyone. |

I dont know whats going on at insomniac but their trance line ups are a disgrace, they used to balance out the fluff with some harder stuff but now its pure rainbow. its embarrassing for a festival of this calibre to have such a narrow range trance wise. |

Who ever goes to a GIANT/BIGGER THAN EVER COMMERCIAL FESTIVAL expecting pure non cheese music of any variety? There are dj's that will stay "true" but if that's all you really want it's obvious you're going to the wrong place.
What was it like before? Doesn't matter, bigger bigger more people more money more cheese more top acts that attract people. |

| Random and sorry if already posted...but do they allow for the upgrading of GA passes to VIP by paying the difference? |

What do you expect from Insomniac? They cater to the biggest draws. What massive festival doesn't? You think Ultra was better? Global Gathering? Tomorrowland? All these events pick from the some pool of talent.
I'd like to see some other names come but they aren't draws over here, or even if they are, it's rare to see them: Leon Bolier, Solarstone, JOOP, Marco V, Stoneface & Terminal. The Armada supporting group is brought because of the Armin and Markus' reach (JOC, Aly & Fila, Dash Berlin, Tritonal, W&W); the same goes with Anjuna and Above & Beyond (Arty, Jaytech, Mat Zo, etc).
Cosmic Gate and Rank 1 (Live), and Ferry Corsten are legends so they make sense, though their sound has definitely changed. Eco is a stretch though, and a surprise name imho. Gareth is a joke these days so I wont go there; and SVD can't figure himself out anymore so I'm not excited for that. Gabriel & Dresden could be interesting, judging by the ASOT 550 set, but I wont hold my breath.
Jochen Miller is an interesting name, and could bring something different. K-Sky isn't a bad local name by any means, and if you think she's all fluff, well, she can surprise. Kyau & Albert will be different possibly, but I'm no longer a fan of their style.
They have in the past brought CL and J00F, but they rarely bring any Psy-Trance. I'd love to see a Jordan Suckley or such, but again, names not recognized in the States except by niche markets. Niche markets don't fill EDC anymore; those days have passed. It may be nice to see some new names, but I would never expect Insomniac to jump on it all on their own. |

Just played earlier this year in San Diego too. Great guy tbh. They could add him still, but he isn't the drawing type of name these days either, so I can understand not advertising him on the first drop of the lineup.
One thing I will say - Thank god phase 1 is so much better than the drop last year! |
