Not a good time to play Newcastle. :(
What a ed season the reds are having. Just when Houllier discovers this thing called Attacking football :D, Baros and Carragher get murdered at Ewood Park, and then Owen, Finnan & now bargain buy boy Kewell get injured! :( |

Ok were having a bad season, theres no dispute in that, but before the season began, even with kewell, i still think were lacking up front. With Owen and Kewell out on Saturday, i think itll be down to the new kids to get a say in the game!
And looking on the bright side, if we win the game, and teams above us lose, we could go up to fourth, which is where we wanna stay!
ps. I still dont understand why theres a newcastle united thread, but no liverpool, man us, arsenal threads |

1-1 Newcastle - Liverpool
good result for Liverpool, because we were under a lot of pressure in the second half |

| Poor performance yet a decemt result for the Redmen considering injuries are just hitting almost every player in the team. Oh and Houllier's decision to bring on lightweight weak Smicer for the Pacey Pongolle was absolute mindboggling. If there gonna play hoofball for the time being at least put a decent frontman. |

pongoal is still very young, he was getting tired. if you wear em out at that young a age, there is gonna be injury trouble for years and years too come.
anyways good result for liverpool and that is what counts in the premiership so lets hope charlton looses today. |

| Any of you Newcastle fans know the tune that is played just before kick off at St James Park? I also hear it on a radio station here in Sydney as it is used as for a commercial. |

| Av it 4-0 and by the sounds of it Robert scored 2 class goals. Shearer now moves on to 15 goals this season me thinks. Ill just have to watch the premiership tonite :D |

It's "Local Hero" by Mark Knopfler (some MP3s have it labelled as 'Going Home'). It's a very popular ringtone on mobile phones here :D One of his more recent tunes is "Why Aye Man" which is also popular with the fans.
They also play 'O Fortuna' from Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" before kick off. |
