| I posted this in the ATL forum but supposedly in the next week and a half if the gas pipelines continue to be shut down like they are there won't be any gas left in Georgia. :eek: |

and prices will rise faster and higher. in the past 2 days, i saw the price jump almost $.50. thats amazing. ive never seen a spike that steep before. |

i was wondering that too. though given that half the state doesnt have electricity, i guess we shouldnt be surprised if we dont hear from him for a few weeks. hopefully he got out ok. |

My sister just came up to stay with us since LSU Medical Center isn't going to be having classes for a good while.
She said her friend Paul lives right by a Walmart in the city. In the aftermath residents that stayed behind raided it, stole all the guns and tried to overrun Children's Hospital to get all of the drugs.
That, and I'm sure several similar incidents, is why martial law was declared. There's been lots of footage of looting and the likes. |

N.O. mayor stated in media that hundreds were dead. Rescue workers are bypassing the floating bodies to rescue the living. They don't have the facilities to process the dead, let alone care for the living with no power, and little food, potable water, and health care...
