This is truely sad.:(
To the people talking about the news showing african americans mostly as the ones in trouble. A friend of mine used to live in NO & she said a large area of NO is african american & that certain area of NO sits the lowest below sea level compared to the rest of the city. She also said alot of that area floods regularly & the city hasnt done much over the years to help drain the water. She says some parts have a bad smell year round from still standing water. |

At least 48 hours... The hurricane path at 48 hours before it hit was directly over NO. |

Right click save as. 16 meg .mov file.
Animation of GOES-East using day (pseudo color) and night (night light composite background) products starting from Florida landfall till Gulf Coast landfall. Bascially watch Katrina blow over Florida, and really blow up and intensify over the warm gulf. I knew she was going to be bad from the get go... but watching her blow up is unreal.... |
