There will be some slight movement, But not that much cause as I stated before, the air will just circulate. |
well, let's take a closer look at the "airal dynamic design" of the dome. i'll refer to the following diagram, using the sphere as a model for what would happen with a dome (although keep in mind, the dome will have even MORE turbulence due to the fact that it's hemispherical)
as you can see, at very low velocities (on the left), the downstream flow lines are a mirror image of the upstream flow lines (which you might describe as "circulate around the dome"). At slightly higher velocities, a wide wake forms behind the sphere. At high velocities, which using the reynold's number of the sphere with a radius of approximately 200meters would yield 175mph (the speed of the hurricane), a thin layer of turbulence forms around the sphere and the wake, now narrower, also contains some turbulence. Basically, the fluid within the wake becomes more turbulent as the velocity increases, so the air wont exactly "circulate" around the dome, but will actually probably cause significant damage on the very front and towards the backside of the dome.

| Basically what hes saying without reading all that... is although the people wont be feeling 160mph winds... it will feel like they are in the midst of an earthquake. |

Are you ing serious. All I gotta say is get someplace that wont get structural damage, also, staying underground is not a wise idea being that there will massive flooding.
I think nature is gonna give us a US version of Venice, Italy. |

yeah .. i got some before pics prepared already ..
:) ..
and thanks guys for the wishes of luck .. we are all going to need it right now .. we hope that this hurricane steers more of a NNW turn rather than a WNW turn (more longititude than latitude), and we will be fine .. there's no hope this hurricane is going any more eastward .. i have seen several maps, and a big through and a bermuda high is not going to move this big momma jamma .. this chica covers an entire state .. :nervous: ...
and sorry no pics of momma ..
unless you're into 60 year old women .. :nervous: |
