As for the Eye, it doesn't look that big, then when you actually 'hear' the size of it, in miles, and I think, that's the distance between me & a what, 30 min drive @ 60mph and it kinda becomes more clear |

As soon as the storm hits land it will lose its biggest driving force: warm sea surface temperatures. A hurricane is different from your average storm due to the fact it is a warm core system. The storm wont end where that map shows. That is only a three day probabilistic map showing the general direction it will go. It will quickly downgrade to a tropical storm as it moves inland, then to a tropical depression and it will most likely continue through the ohio valley and out of the US as a cluster of storms and rain showers. |

So that leaves those states closer to the central US Less likely to feel the full force & explains why florida takes a lot being submersed in water around a lot of it :)
I'd love to go into this kinda stuff, but you need a lot of money behind you, plus we don't get much interesting here, the odd twister but that's it |
