great drinking game. whenever a portuguese player dives you take a swing.
death by alcohol poisoning? lol |
the traditional idea is take one whenever the commentator calls the name - bad idea to pick ronaldo if you want to stay sober (or the turkish keeper) |

| Turkey is probably one of the dirtiest playing teams I've ever seen. I don't know how the ref fails to see all those brutally bad tackles. |

Probably the worst game I've seen Turkiye ever play...
This is what happens when you have a coach that doesn't know what the f*** he is doing...
Let's leave the best players we have in Turkey out of the national team and let's play players who never played this high level of competition while the other players who have are benched...
I still can't believe he didn't take Hakan Sukur who had the leading goals in the qualifying into the national team... |

Probably because Portugal 'embellishes' a lot of fouls.
Reffing 2nd half was ok though. Brutal call on that handball that Turkey should have got a freekick
Portugal did deserve to win this one. I still hate them with a passion :o |

I didn't think Nani's bleeding leg was 'embellishing'. |

it's like wrestling, the portugese players carry small razor blades to start bleeding at opportune moments |

i think the one on simao was still awful, noone at professional level should mistime a tackle THAT badly. i also don't think the other defender had him covered sufficiently making him the last man and red card worthy - if the defender couldn't get to the ball before nuno gomes then he definitely couldn't have had simao covered |

yes on embellishing
yes on the handball but they wouldn't have capitalised probably
2-0 was a fair score, turkey didn't bring any impressive attacks while portugal had 4 or 5 other good chances
much as i hate them too, they are one of the more enjoyable teams to watch and have a pretty strong team with a lot of young blood.
watch for abramovich to buy pepe for 18million now lol |

true
but it's because portuguese players go down pretty easily that they don't get a lot of legit foul calls.
reputations add up |

Turks didn't capitalize on their chances yes.
This is typical Turkish team that doesn't seem to play well when away from home.

Enjoyable to watch minus the antics :p
Watch out for Joao Moutinho. That guy is going to be the next Makelele with more scoring threat.
Now only if Portugal can develop some strikers... (Or just get some Brazilians and give them citizenships lol |
