After the Turkish win last night, I think the city is up for another solid though less tense win tonight. One of the largest Turkish areas is about 10 minutes from my place and the horns and fireworks went on late into the night.
Great win for them. They played their hearts out and earned that win. Croatia was the better team on paper, but that's why you play the games.
Hopefully there's no drama's against Russia tonight. Gus Hiddink has done great things with the Russian team (hence the Dutch vs. Dutch comment above) but I don't think they can beat Holland.
Hopefully Holland don't choke and blow it. |

True enough, they won, and played a mediocre game.
We won it all in 04 and played a REALLY mediocre final, meh. |

A win is a win, and Turkey played hard when it counted. They didn't give up either.
Ultimately it was Croatia who choke in the penalty kicks so if either of the teams is to be deemed "" at the end of a close, even, and exciting match, it's them.
I have no allegiance to either team, but credit to Turkey for not giving up and for finishing when it counted.
I had high hopes for Croatia to make the finals actually. They have a great team. They just wore themselves out and couldn't finish. They had tons of chances too, even before the match went to extra time. |

attention eric: Italy is ing awful this Euro. 1-1-1 to advance lol. good job world cup defenders.
p.s. Id rather watch a Turkey game, cause while the games are boring, the endings are god damn too exciting to watch. |

after all those yellows to the turks, bad timekeeping by the ref, skill showed by the croatians, and completely 50% based shootouts, turkey definitely doesn't diserve that win
