I'm a hardcore Germany fan and Turkey had me worried for a while. I think they played well and kept Germany away from the goal for a very good chunk of the game. Could have easily been Turkey's game. I think you find it so easy to hate on them because they've never placed before, aside form this afternoon. Bravo Turkey, totally have some hidden gems on that team.

Anyway, the Germans, always 'grow' into the tournament. They become better every game. They never go out fast. Thats the Germans, they always manage to do the trick. And as youve seen yesterday, they dont need a lot of changes to score.

There is always going to be Turkey haters, but that's normal and we don't really care it just motivates the team more.
Anyways, I am really happy with the result. If Turkey had its full squad I am certain as most people that Turkey would be playing in the final right now.
Ofcourse the biggest thing was the missing players on defence and our main goalie (as Rustu is old now and makes stupid mistakes) We only had 1 defender player and the rest were natural midfield players playing defense so the mentalitly is not the same. Hence the first easy goal for the Germans and the 2nd easy goalie mistake.
I am hoping either Russia or Spain take it.

Turkey outplayed Czech Republic by a large margin if you look at the stats. Also, they played hard against the Swiss considering they were swimming on grass...

Thats one of the main reasons why people are prejudiced about the Turkish game. They have a bad reputation. Not only (inter-)nationally, also locally. Turkish clubs/teams here in my local region always seem to get into trouble with referees and other teams, resulting in a bad name. What they 'show' in their game 'n fair play, is often the same as what you see on TV. So their bad name doesnt only comes forward from their (inter-)national reputation, they seem to show it eveywhere...
Also, their game is a bit too much of the southern european mentality, like the Italian's have.
Though i have to say the Turkish (@ this EC) have shown to be a good loser, thumbs up for that.
