You are taking my comment out of context...as of the 2006 world cup Italy was the ONLY nation to boast all of their players playing domestically which displays national pride and with the exception of Cameronesi all the players were born in the country, which is also a unique fact, especially in today's world with as you mentioned the instance of Naturalization.
have having a brazilian player come and join the squad is not just purely because of his new found love of italy, and accepting a foreign player is not because of the glee the FIGA managers have for a player who loves the country his club is located in.
this aspect more times then none makes the international game too much like the club game....bull
There is a list of intrnl's playing for a italy clubs past and present i'd love to see join the azzurri but there would be much corruption and alterior motives if this became common.

I'm still pissed off about World Cup 02 when the refs made that call against Turkey in the game against Brazil..if it wasn't for the call..I believe Turkey would have won the World cup that year rather than coming in 3rd..:mad:
