not once did i say italy was good. They were old in the world cup 2 years ago, Now they are ancient. And our coach is terrible. We have no shot.
but im just surprised people thought yesterdays game was good because it had a cool ending. Even the commentators were talking about how the game is and how neither team seems like they want the game or know what theyre doing with the ball. I've watched better games in practice at soccer city.
then I come on here and sya that and this chcik thinks im being racist or cutting down her nationality. I think we forgot the tournament isn't about who has a better nationality, it's about soccer.
Just for the record I want to see holland or Germany take it. And i want to see is italy get farther then portugual out of spite. |

Holland has played so sloppy and lazy, especially on defense. Russia has wanted this match more and totally deserve the convincing win.
Holland played like they were entitled to the win and were surprised to be outplayed. |

so when i see soccer being played, ill be the first to say no matter if its chile playing italy, holland or turkey, "this is a in game" and i will flick the channel to fresh prince of bel air.
If you're going to tell me yesterday's game was fun exciting, and match of great skill vs great skill, I'd have to sya you have no right watching soccer. You shoudl leanr the sport before you watch. |
different strokes for different folks dude...it was exciting for me and i'm sure for many other people..maybe cuz i have something invested in it..and please don't give me a speech about national pride not being at play here...! i guess everyone should give up cheering for their countries when it comes to the olympics as well..
yes, in the end it is about soccer..but there are so many other factors and storylines that contribute to a tournament..if you want to have such a basic one dimensional view of things..then be my guest...
i believe that what the turks have done in this tournament is nothing less than amazing..maybe they have not played at ur exceptable level...but to be honest...sometimes, it's just nice to cheer on an underdog and watch them overcome the odds...it feels GOOD...so rather than bitching about the quality of soccer..and putting down the other teams..i choose to be wave the flag of the country i was born in..something i do very rarely if EVER...so, if you don't mind with all due respect..i'm gonna keep feelin proud..... |
