My take so far.
Today's outcome was amazing!
France is too old.
Italy is to confident.
Germany will take it all.
Portugal only do as well as Ronaldo.
The Swiss should have had a better result........ |

trust it italy always starts slow for qualifying/torunys....in 94 we lost to ireland in group stages and went all the way to the finals.....last euro we won/lost/tied in the group.....and lost too goal differentual....
if theres one thing i learned bout international football u never know who can win....and thats a great thing.....
this in deffently one of the hardest groups in recent memory....
i remember in the 2002 World Cup Sweeden/England/Argentina/Nigeria was the real group of death hahahaha....which ended with Argentina/Nigeria being eliminated.....

besides the horrid linup italy had (not starting grosso instead of panucci and leaving out aquilani or de rossi, having the "milan" defensive mid)....they played ok....we had at least 2-3 occasions where we should have scored
don't know what the coach was thinking, but its a good thing we lost this early, now he has no choice but to play the right lineup...our lineup was too defensive minded having 3 def mid ....don't even know why ambrosini started
that being said, kudos to the dutch.....italy didnt play their best game, however the dutch did. they were pressuring and not letting up one bit, excellent game from them
the first goal (under the current rules was not an offside), but still bull...regardless they lost by 2 more goals, so that goal can't really talk alot about it
italy still have a good chance, and nobody should rule out italy to get out of the groups, this lost was a huge wake up call, can work for us to bring down the "campioni" mentality....the 0-0 result between romania and france works in our favor
its only one game

dont underestimate the romanians ;). they finished first in their qual group and along with france had the best defensive record.

:stongue: thats what they said about them in the last world cup. its funny because the only thing lacking for france were their forwards which are mostly twenty year olds. Gomis, Benzema, and Nasri.
