Allowing the first goal was a horrible call since it was WAY offside but they deserve the win - Italy was sloppy and slow the whole game |

| They were in such POOR POOR form all game, and NED deserves the win i will say .... but iam currently in tears ...this is not the way the world cup started and i was certainly hoping for the same result |

very nice... something to note though, both teams are missing some of their best players.
i.e. Cannavaro, the world cup mvp, is injured, and so is arjen robben. van persie isnt 100% either, but it looks like theyre letting him finish the game. |

I thought that the officiating was pretty fair for both sides. They were allowed to play tough, but not abusive.
But yeah, the first goal was offsides for sure, but the Dutch pressure forced the Italian defense into too many mistakes on the counterattack |
