cool cats though, except i have 4 and by numbers they will stomp your toothless nascar cats:p

It's a shame if conservative values are seen around the world as "redneck"... they clearly aren't. Conservative values had quite a lot to do with this country's founding, individual freedoms other countries' citizens wish they had, and becoming an economic powerhouse. I think people who laugh at Americans they don't know, haven't met, and also haven't spent any time living here are just as shortsighted as the people they think they are laughing at. Wouldn't you agree that someone who is going to base their criticism and stereotypes on what they read or watch from the mainstream medias from their country are being unfair? I wouldn't for a minute believe all Canadians who don't subscribe to socialized medicine and massive social welfare spending are like the guys from the movie Strange Brew or are a bunch of meathead hockey players. Most of America isn't at all like the elites, but that doesn't make them hillbillys.

BTW- you have 4 cats now? ... my big one could take on maybe 2 or 3 of yours but my little one is a scared little bitch. That 4th cat would definitely tip the scales in their favor. :stongue:

17sss, both parties expand the government. It's only when the Republicans are out of power they bitch and complain about it. Ronald Reagan even took part in conducting record deficit spending. To which Dick Cheney said, "Ronald Reagan showed deficits don't matter."

I'm going to go out in a limb and suggest that when Regan pushed a record deficit at that time, it paled in comparison to what Obama just created. The rationale can't be that deficits are good no matter how large they get. And Regan probably couldn't even fathom the possibility that we could have 1 stimulus bill that dwarfed all previous deficits plus the entire Vietnam war plus the New Deal combined, and so on. He was very popular and probably assumed things would stay on an even keel to some degree. But I can't speak for the man... it's just a theory. Same goes for Darth Cheney- when he made that statment, he couldn't have imagined deficits would ever come to this level. That statement can't be taken in a vacuum and I don't know the full context of him saying that, but I agree that was a stupid thing to say.

17sss, the point is, the party that represents the so-called conservatives are hypocrites. They bitch now about deficits but when they were power, all were in lock-step formation.

You're absolutely right. The party has gone against it's ideals, and that is why they are suffering. A return to actual conservatism by the party is the right move, not running to the left, pandering and playing identity politics and spending out the ass. That obviously is not the answer because the GOP had that exact candidate in McCain, and it failed miserably. Unfortunately, the RINO's (like Arnold, Colin Powell, Tom Ridge, etc.) keep crying that we have to make the tent bigger and do just that (move left). Is there a Democrat that has made a name for himself by continually going aginast his party? Hell no... you do that and you're kicked out. Ask Leiberman.

So we have Arnold out there trying to explain how the Republicans need to come together while he helps destroy California. We had Bush leading the charge for Amnesty in 2007 and it didn't make a dent with the Hispanic vote. We have Powell saying the people want bigger government and more taxes, admitting he voted for JFK, Lyndon Johnson, Jimmy Carter, and Obama and we're to believe he really wants to be in the Republican party? Dude is desperately trying to rehab his image after being humiliated about the UN presentation he gave on WMD's. Plus nobody has any actual idea what his stance on anything is. He and Tom Ridge, these 'moderates' they claim the party needs so much, need to be specifically asked where they stand on the issues. Otherwise, these "moderate" leaders' positions means what exactly? They offer nothing substantive except to keep using words like "big tent" and "new tone"... no insight into their political philosophy. Until that comes to light, they have no real right to lecture Republicans.

BTW- I'm always perplexed about how you broke with Republicans because they abandoned their principles, and rather than stick to those core principles you believe in, you moved even further to the left to support those very ideals you were upset at the GOP for adopting. Did you just want to be on the winning side? I don't get it.

Those are some cool looking cats... haha if you want them to have a throw-down with mine lets make it happen before those kittens get any bigger. :nervous:

elFreak
the white one was the most expensive (still cheaper than yours:p) because flame point siamese are rare. We bought a blue point kitten and got the other one free (seal point like the big dude)because if you notice he has a white tip on the tail meaning that he can't be sold as a pure bread cat and it is considered a defect.

i don't consider it a defect, the way i see it is that i have a cat that no one else pretty much has:)

for the amount of money they made off of us i will take it, only 3 of them have pure bread papers but whatever.

I used to be a gung ho "AMERICA YEA", nationalist tool, indoctrinated by the religious right, pro-bush...Then, I realized that Iraq was big gigantic lie, and that completely tipped my entire belief system on its keel. Then, I realized how idiotic creationism was, and mind you, this is what I was indoctrinated with at my high school. I used to love Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Michael Savage, not to mention how stupid most of their rantings are. Day after day is nothing but re-riding liberals and democrats. Every ing day. Then all of sudden, I became aware of just how utterly divisive their rhetoric is. Not to mention the total disregard for the consequences of our actions. The attitude that our country was infallible just pissed me the off. And the response I saw from the GOP was, "You'r un-American." Excuse me? YOU . There was no way in hell I was going to participate in this flagrant arrogance.

I am liberal on social issues. I am a moderate monetarist on fiscal and economic issues. I liken my economic views as a hybrid between the views of Milton Friedman and Maynard Keynes.

The Democrats embody my new view of social welfare with the goal of increasing the productivity of the free market, social issues such as the drug war and gay marriage, and a pragmatic approach to foreign policy which the Repubs lack.
