I don’t think we have all the facts straight in Libya. Mind you this is simply from my own observations and I really don’t want to jump into any conclusions just yet. Time will tell if getting involved in Libya was a wise decision or not.
I truly hope that that everything would have a positive outcome at the end but you cannot simply forget the past conflicts and history has shown us that by getting involved in a country’s political matters and taking sides doesn’t always have happy endings.

Haha... so the cited coalition names and sizes, cited congressional resoultions (and lack of), UN resolution names, UN Security Council vote tallies, dates of operation and address to nation, and cited concurrent military operations are all inaccurate lies? :stongue:

Indeed, becuase your premis is a complete fallacy.

Iraq was only about finding those WMD's? remember :p

oops, none found, so let's make it about regime change against a horrible dictator, that'll do it. Oh darn, that won't work because the UN resolution specifically didn't allow that.

Oh, but hold on, the UN resolution didn't actually allow any force for breach of the resolution so USA and Britain just stormed in there and as the recent inquiry in London found, it was a clear breach of international law.

Bugger, let's just glaze over all those pesky details by touting a congressional resolution (for what that's worth).

No? Ok let's mention some stuff about al-qaeda being in cahoots with Ghadaffi and maybe some of that mud will stick. lol.

Oh and as for the date thing, yeah, bush was quick to announce and make that address, nearly like he had it planned and everything well in advance. But of course no, it was just good timing on his part. You, know, because he was real good at that kind of thing.

C'mon now, even you can do better than this pile of junk.

True none were found (save the 550 metric tons of yellow cake uranium that was unearthed at the nuclear research center of Al-Tuwaitha, but who's counting?). But in fact, regime change was expressly part of the plan going in.

Stop trying to re-write history. US and Britain + 47 other countries signed on as part of the coalition to be precise.

"like it had been planned"? Dude... the process Bush took to get Congressional approval took 9 months. Barack the foreign policy genius took about what, 3-4 weeks and was more concerned with the ambiguous Arab League's approval than he was to consult with his own Congress.

Also Kevin, I am keeping note of how much you were going "GOD DAMN IT, GOD GOD DAMN IT BRAH BRAH BRAH OBAMA NEEDS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS GHADFI FELLA RIGHT NOW BRAH BRAH BRAH!"

That is so when in a few months or a year or whenever it happens you can't come back and be like "Obama supported anti-americans that took over Libya" cause you are mr. rush-the--in-there-and-help-whoever-the--is-fighting-ghdafi.

All of the Republican morons who were up in arms over the fact that America didn't rush in to the support of the Libyan rebels who are now up in arms over our involvement in enforcing this UN resolution should have their arms cut off. They seem to conveniently forget that this isn't a full-scale ground invasion as Iraq was as well. I suppose Obama getting it right this time is a small condolence for the families of the thousands of American soldiers who lost their lives helping the Iraqi people who didn't ask for help.
