Yea that's a doable substitute if you find it too sweet, but I'd probably add a bit of lime cordial then or heaps more fresh lime. |
I think it would be too sweet for me with lemonade, but oh man, you do NOT put lime cordial in with such finery as Cointreau :wtf: Fresh limes, or go home. |

Ya, but it's a summery drink and with summery drinks you don't just go and demolish a bottle in a day. It's the type of drink I like to get when drinking socially or to just relax a bit.
I need to go get some for home...
EDIT - It's anywhere between $40 and $50 so actually not too expensive at all :) | Ya its the same around here. A nice bottle of Beefeater or Bombay is 35. Gin and tonic wins! |

Missed your edit.
$40-$50 isn't too bad actually, I was expecting more.

Oh yea for sure, fresh limes all the way but truth be told, a tiny bit of good lime cordial actually can work well with it if using soda instead of lemonade. Fresh lime tastes so much better though. |

Well, I assumed you weren't talking about Cottee's cordial :p
Still a no-no though |

Oh God no! I'm a bartender. If we're using cordial it's proper cordial, not that cheap kids drinks :haha:
Sometimes a cusomer INSISTS on something so you just give it to them and then marvel at how stupid they are. Oh well, can't help everyone :p |

Never even tried it before, though I really should have. Is it any good? |

I was quite surprised by how good it actually was when I tried it. A little bit too dry for me, but good nonetheless. |
