It's better than Beauvais. There you gotta buy a sandwich for every beer you order. |

Just spent the last two days interviewing for a reporting position with a newspaper.
Wrote two stories during my time there, which will both be published.
It went very well, so I'm optimistic. Either way it was a great experience, especially it being my first professional interview.
I felt cool staying in a hotel they booked for me, all professional and :o
If I do get the offer, the decision to move down to a small town to take the job will be tough. It really had no character to it; although, I'm a city guy so that's what I'm used to. The biggest benefit of taking this job would be building confidence in the field and gaining invaluable experience to throw on my resume for future aspirations.
Have to start somewhere, I suppose.

Time for beer(s)! :D |

:stongue:
Thanks :)
Funny you mention US-41 because it's the main road of the "city" the newspaper is located in.
I was interviewed to be the education beat reporter, which could work out to be a pretty cool gig if I get my way with the kind of stories I'd like to write. The focus right now is obviously on budget cuts and curriculum. Rick Scott  |

Alright, so I was reading a bunch of old posts in this thread, and I got to the Brita filter and vodka posts. I got curious about it since I have both at home, and just said " it," and gave it a try. Well I don't know what happened. I poured a shot's worth of Gilbey's vodka into the ing thing (Yeah I measured it out first before pouring it), and put a plastic cup right underneath the filter. Droplets of clear liquid fell into the cup and I let it drain until nothing else came out. I put the cup into my mouth, expecting some smoother vodka and all I got was some slightly sour tasting water instead. ing . The Brita filter wasn't exactly brand new, but it wasn't super old either. ing thing drank up my vodka and gave me water in return, ain't that a bitch. Glad I didn't use more than a shot's worth, but I'm still pretty pissed about that. I really don't know what went wrong.
Buzzin' pretty good off vodka and wine despite the small loss. |
