:haha: nah that was the only 'review' of it i had ever read - in an article about the champagne's connection to Jay Z. It was written in such a way that I took it to be the common consensus on the stuff, but I guess I was wrong.
I would agree with you that Belvedere is gross, but, then again, I'm not big on vodka. When I absolutely have to do a vodka drink/cocktail I prefer Ketel...Ketel club is a drink I get occasionally at bars if they don't have makers mark or I'm tired of drinking whiskey and beer.

Is that different than Belevedere Black?
To my knowledge, there's no product called Belvedere Black. Although there is a Belvedere Black Raspberry or something equally gay and fruity...
That being said, though, Belvedere Intense is sold in a black bottle, both the 40% and 50% variations....... maybe you're referring to this.

Yeah, that's the one. I've had once I believe. I think I just don't like vodka.

Fair enough, if you've tried it.
I think it's delicious and has a true flavour, that even (most) non-vodka fans would appreciate.

It depends on the time of day and where I am!
I only drink straight vodka when it's a nice vodka, like the aforementioned Belvedere Intense, which is ing amazing, in my opinion.
When out, I mostly I drink vodka in cocktails, in either vodka martinis or Vespers........ unless I've been forced to enter a bar where nice spirits are an alien concept, in which case, asking for a vodka martini or a vesper, is the alcoholic equivalent of asking them to build a ing Death Star. So I just go for a simple, but strong vodka and coke.
Russian Standard is the lowest I'll go in terms of vodka quality. that Smirnoff .

This f'ker is some of the tastiest rum I've ever had. And it's also the cheapest - which gets me weird stares at the monocle society but I say pshaw and tommyrot to them eh lads?????
pshaw.
btw down a half.... hail everything.

Vodka Martini's technical name is actually Kangeroo Kicker, cool alcoholic fact for you. Also, they're disgusting, tasteless, and worthless :p
Vodka is so boring, I don't know how anyone with a sense of taste (which you seem to have) can like it. I keep a bottle around for Vespers, Moscow Mules, and for spiking lemonade / juice, but it's pretty rare for me to pull it out.
There are some cool local /artisan vodkas around that are good for drinking straight or on the rocks, but I find there are so many better liquors out there if that's what one wants to do.
Most of the big-name stuff out there is complete tasteless swill.
