You have to be doing something wrong to wreck a lager, Tooheys seem to have excelled themselves in breaking it though. |
Tooheys isn't so bad.
If you consider that there are many many worse options.
Oh, but now you can buy Carlton Draught in a bottle :gsmile: :wtf: |

It's kind of scary that its the same company that makes Fosters, yet still comes up with some decent brews. I'm sort of guessing the Fosters brewery is stashed near a petrochemical plant or something horrible to make it turn out the way it does. |

In ancient sanskript, and in the less ancient 'OzzyOcka,' the word 'Fosters' actually means WoomeraNuclearTestingFacilityWasteProductLol (quite the tongue twister).
Being an upright member of the international community Lilith, you should be advised: Only a select few English people actually know this, so keep it to yourself if you can. They are on a 'need to know' security level. |

| Fosters is far more amusing as a running 'in joke' on anyone ignorant and apathetic enough to drink it than anything else :haha: |

Exactly.

I can't think of any other country in the world who would drink it? Can you? |

LazFX in Texas used to drink it, before I put him onto 'other' beers from Australia which aren't a national 'pisstake' in both the literal and metaphorical sense.
Lots of yanks seem to drink it though. |

Alcohol in the US is about 7% tax (I think its flat rate from memory) |
It's a state tax, and there's a pretty wide range from state-to-state. There are usually 3 rates: one for beer, one for wine, one for spirits. Some states just have one rate for alcohol, though. 7 or 8% (not including the state sales tax for any purchase, which is also tacked on) is probably normal. |

then you have the states that put on the bottle deposit on top of it. so a case of beer costs $1.20 extra.
