It's been a while since I tried going to Sonic. Most of the time going there, I would wait in line for about 15-20 minutes, realizing that it was not moving much and that if I did get in I would still have to pay $35+, then I would totally loose my interest in partying as I would start feeling tired, and then would go off to a restaurant for some food before sleeping.
So obviously they have a dedicated/regular crowd on Friday nights, but for the occasional people that would venture there on Saturday night, like me, it is just not worth it.
-> too expensive (remember on most nights Guv only charges $20)
-> stupid line ups (its one thing to wait at 11 pm sober, its another thing to wait/freeze at 2:30am sobering up)
-> on few occasions I did not mind paying $35 for a couple of hours of extra music, but yeah, waiting for a headliner discouraged me knowing that I wanted to go home before the sun went up. |

Simply recognize that if something isn't protected, it is likely to become extinct - you won't be bothered but I know that there will be people that are and when it is too late, it is too late. Dance with the coke-fuelled Ginos at TiL instead.

From what I'm hearing, Sonic doesn't need protection as much as it needs patronage. |

I don't think the people who are looking to stay out til 9am are sitting there doing a cost/benefit analysis before heading over ;)
Besides, where else are they going to go? I am hesitant to believe that an extra hour or two they get is a dealbreaker.
I cant believe someone suggested putting hot women on the flyers! Why don't we just put a hot rod on there too and appeal to the lowest common denominator? |

Hey yourself, I loved TiL for ages and had the best time at Lawler. I like to think of myself as a plastic princess from time to time. It wasn't a slant on TiL, merely pointing out that it soon may be the only option.
