| I would expect January can be a slow month for clubbing relative to the rest of the year, similar to the restaurant industry. |

probably because its mostly boring tribal, and other unexciting djs every week. who still wants to hear that ? its not gay enough to attract the gay crowd, but too gay to attract a crowd that wants to hear good new music.
but theyve had some interesting bookings |

^^^ Mostly boring tribal?!? Other unexciting DJs?!?! Nonsense. Have you even looked at the bookings lately? The past couple of months alone have included the likes of Stacey Pullen, Demi, Satoshie Tomiie, Hector Romero, Sean Miller, Jonny White, David Duriez, Guy Gerber, Tom Stephen, Timo Maas, Lexicon Avenue...
What planet are you on? |

I agree to a certain point...I know there's club politics involved, booking agents, contracts etc...but 90% of the DJ's spinning are the same ones that have been spinning at sonic/boa for the past 3 years with the exception of a few. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's boring, but yeah it's a little monotonous at times.
As far as the crowds not being there, or lack of an "appealing" crowd...with there Friday nights being strictly geared to the gay crowd, I think they should enforce guys keeping their shirts on on Saturday nights. Once the word got out that you could actually go there and not have to deal with shirtless guys, I think it would be surprising how many more poeple would go. |

Interesting. Aside from residents Sean Miller and C&C, most of the headliners play once or twice a year. How is that any different than other leading/popular clubs such as the Guv, TIL, Stereo, Tribe, Crobar, Pacha, etc.? I personally find it hard to see how that is "monotonous", but perhaps your tastes are significantly more diverse than mine...
I think the main issues are: (1) they do not serve alcohol, and (2) they usually open the doors late (1am) with headliners coming on at 4am...
If these two issues were addressed (if at all possible), I am almost certain they would see bigger crowds... |

I think Sonic should enforce "keep your shirt on" policy, that way Saturday nights don't look like a VillagePeople video. I think straight people would feel more comfortable in a setting like that just like they do at the Guvernment.
Sonic needs to do something to rejuvinate the spice.
The spice must flow....... |

| I hope that someone from Sonic is actually listening to our concerns (someone other than promoters that just try to justify all our concerns. |
