Apparently the "Vote Hillary Clinton 2016" thread has been deleted (probably by the OP), and I'll respect the decision of whoever decided to get rid of it and I'm not bringing it back to life.
However, we had a nice discussion going on, and I'm "revamping" it so we talk about the presidential election... and because I wanted to answer DJ Rann's questions about a Trump rally in Brazil :p

It's because, as I said, we can't help but see in the US what happened here a couple of years ago - and Hillary Clinton is a lot like Dilma Rousseff.
Both Hillary and Dilma rose to power thanks to (and following) a popular president, leaned left (Dilma even more so), and just like Hillary's emails, Dilma's reputation was marred by a number of scandals in spite of the fact no one could prove she did anything illegal. Our Tea Party lost the plot and firmly believed the country was becoming a socialist state, no matter how detached from reality their views were.
It's a given in Brazilian politics that, as soon as there's an economic crisis, the president falls. And, just as our economy came to a halt in 2014, a fragmented congress (and the vice president, no less!) turned against Dilma and impeached her (think of it as a vote of no confidence, that was more like it). São Paulo, being something of our New York, wanted her gone more than any other city in the country.
That's why you can find Trump supporters there. They believe Hillary is Dilma 2.0, and because this is completely illogical, nothing else makes sense :p |

Why delete though? We ed with the DJ-Mag polls once, years ago, but I don't think TA is going to be messing with electing a new government in the US. |

Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, a long-time Clinton insider and former Hillary Clinton campaign chairman, helped facilitate donations – two separate payments, one for $467,500 and another for $207,788 – to the campaign coffers of the wife of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
McCabe just so happened to take on “an oversight role in the investigation into Secretary Clinton’s emails” just months later.
The new Deputy Director didn’t feel the need to recuse himself from the case, creating a clear conflict of interest.
Now, he could be in big trouble…

The FBI’s second in command is facing pressure over donations Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a top Clinton ally, made to the official’s wife who was running an uphill battle against a popular conservative Northern Virginia state senator.
That senator, Dick Black, on Monday called for the resignation of Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.
Black said that McCabe, who later oversaw the probe into the Hillary Rodham Clinton email scandal, should have known McAuliffe was one of Clinton’s closest advisers and friends and recused himself from the probe of the Democratic presidential candidate.
“I call on Andrew McCabe to step down from the FBI for the good of all the agents who do the their work in in ethical and honest fashion,” Black told Secrets. “What he has done has hurt the FBI.”
The FBI probe, as we all know, cleared Clinton of any wrongdoing. McCabe should have avoided working on the email case because donations from the Clinton confidant created the appearance that he owed the campaign something.
Virginia Senator Dick Black issued a press release calling on McCabe to “resign immediately based on (these) disclosures.”
“McCabe should have immediately recused himself from the investigation,” Black said. “His failure to do so proves that he is unqualified to serve as Deputy Director of the FBI, or in any position of trust in the United States Government.”
Was it worth all that campaign money to let Hillary get away with mishandling classified information? Was it worth it to forever tarnish your career?

all that being said, politics is entertainment, it's just a show. and this show has been by far the most entertaining show i have seen in basically EVER. lol. world series meh, this race has been the greatest event i have ever witnessed. it's breath taking.
the dynamic of Trump, Clinton, Wikileaks, the paid off MSM, the FBI. it's FABULOUS. greatest show on earth. do i really care if clinton ends up in jail? no. lol. it's all just entertainment to me. and what Trump symbolizes to the american people is once in a lifetime, we are witnessing history, this last several weeks has been breath taking, unbelievable, wacky, roller coaster of awesomeness.:eyes::clown::tongue2
i dont care if you are democrat or republican, its irrelevant, this is about a struggle, a hero up against the world. nothing makes good entertainment like a struggle. this is all a show. hilary/bill clinton = the villain, trump = the hero up against unimaginable odds. look at how he won the primary, that in itself was a complete miracle. its a show. thats all it is. appreciate it. cherish it. |

Interesting stuff Lira, you can see the somewhat esoteric paralels but it's still bonkers.
This new email thing is truning in to a complete nightmare for FBI director, James Comey:
It's now just transpired that the FBI didn't have a search warrant for the new emails, so not only did the FBI illegally access Huma Abedin's (Anthony Weiner's estranged wife) email, but have no confirmed they had no idea what was in the emails when Comey announced the new probe.
Comey has apparently broken all the rules relating to government agency influencing politics and looks like he's out of a job in the coming days, as the DOJ explicitly warned Comey not to go public with the probe until he had further information, and certainly not before the election. They now can't figure out how to move forward because no search warrant = no emails, but they announced they had the emails so you can't put that back in the box
Gee, it's as if Comey knew that if elected, Clinton would appoint someone else and he'd be out of a job.
That or he's the single dumbest FBI director in it's history. |
