Dude, you're trying to troll the wrong person. I was literally the first person on here to say straight up that he won and I'm open to seeing what he can do.

I just have little to no faith that he'll be any good good given his terrible performance in business and incredible conflicts of interests, but as I said earlier he pres now and there's no point people whining about it.

I will say I'm embarrassed to say the words "president trump" but it is what it is.

That map I posted up just shows how densely tiny pockets of the US are populated and it highlights the imbalance of the electoral college but that's the way it works here.

My only real beef with Trump will be if he truly does away with DACA, That isn;t right however you look at it. These people have done everything required to have a path to permanent residency and didn't ask to get brought here so if he really tries to use that list of people to deport, I'll go and ing protest myself.

In the two weeks since Donald Trump’s stunning victory over Hillary Clinton in the presidential election, hundreds of acts of harassment and intimidation aimed at supporters of both candidates have been reported around the country. In response, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo created a special police unit to address the “explosion” of hate crimes in the state.

“The ugly political discourse of the election did not end on Election Day,” Cuomo said on Sunday at a church in Harlem. “In many ways, it has gotten worse.”

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, there have been more than 700 incidents of “hateful harassment,” including more than 40 in New York state alone.

“I wish I could say our beautiful state of New York was immune from this poison, but it’s not,” Cuomo said. “If you sow fear, you reap hysteria. If you sow divisiveness, you reap anarchy, and we are seeing that today.”

A toll-free hotline that allows New York residents to report incidents of bias and discrimination has received more than 400 calls since its launch on Friday, according to Cuomo’s office.

“This election season vented and fostered people’s anger, and no doubt that the anger is real and it comes with good cause,” Cuomo continued. “This fear and this anger — misdirected — seeks an enemy. It seeks a target, and that target has become people who we see as different than ourselves — people who look different, who have a different skin color, a different religion, a different sexuality, and they have become a target for this anger. But demonizing our differences injects a social poison into the fabric of our nation.”

That would be fine, but you're missing the ENTIRE point:

Trump has vowed to completely abolish DACA on his first day in office.

That means all the people that did everything required of them, including paying taxes, filing all the paperwork at great expense, legally registering to pay Social Security, attaining higher education in ENGLISH and never having broken a law, would be immediately classed as deportable, and worst of all all their details (i.e addresses) are on file, unlike the completely illegal immigrants.

So it's not as you say "if they do it by the law and meet the requirements" - He is going to renege on a deal, where the other party has held up their end of the bargain. Again.

The thing that terrifies me the most, aside from his obvious complete lack of experience or temperament, is the possibility that he'll undo the vital work of the Paris climate change agreement. Everything else he affects will come and go, but that could have serious repercussions for everyone on the planet for decades to come.

You're right. I had a great piece on NPR about the fossil fuel industry where they interviewed various CEO's and Execs in the oil, gas and fracking markets who were absolutely delighted that trump has one. One said he met with Trump to congratulate him and trump said to him "don't worry, we'll get keystone back on track".

The issue is that even if trump only lasts 4 years (which IMO is likely given that he's over promised to "bring back jobs" and "fix the economy" when unemployment is at a low and the economy is doing OK too), he could very pull out of things like Paris, expand fracking and drilling, as well as end the eco push/ kill eco tax credit/stop cap and trade which would have repercussions for generations. Those four years could convert in 20 lost years at a critical time.
