It's sad tbh. It’s a combination of no pride and a horrible structuring of the football federations in Africa

Well, some of them are born in Europe, and they're pretty hurt when they're treated as foreigners (e.g. Romelu Lukaku). Not sure he's among the people you're talking about, but it would be pretty weird for many of them to play for their parents' country.

Algeria, Jamaica and Congo should be doing work in this World Cup

Jamaica is hopelessly stuck in the CONCACAF, and they can, at best, Panama their way into the World Cup. This would require a lot of help from the US :D

As for the Congo, yeah, they were the first African nation to qualify in 1974 (back when they were known as Zaire), but never came back. Why do you reckon they should be doing work in the World Cup?

, I forgot about Croatia. Theyre playing well.

I love them! Not just because I love their jerseys, but because my dad always asks me who "the airport water tanks" are, and it's hard to disagree with him on that one :p

7 goals and Brazil is now the last team that reached the semifinals in 2014 still standing. I'm both amazed and worried :p

Exactly. He's always like "Quem são as caixas d'água de aeroporto mesmo?!" hehe, because he keep mixing up the old Yugoslavian countries and he was a pilot, so he knows airport water tanks quite well :D

Balls. Slept through the best match of the World Cup after staggering home at 2pm from last night's antics. Let's hope Uruguay-Portugal is half as good.

Don't want to rub it in, but it was one of the best matches in A world cup, not just this World Cup. The first 30 mins of the first half was looking a bit lacklustre but the second was a ing thing to behold.

2, if not 3, world class goals in one game, and France seem to have finally found some form.

They still look sketchy in the back but offensively they seem to be in sync now.

Bang. Great play from Suarez and Cavani. Usually in a World Cup things get much less exciting in the knock outs. Let's hope this mad tournament breaks that trend.
