| its soon coming to an end the world cup in a lot of ways reminds me of why morality sucks, it being held every 4 years an average lifetime you only get to watch about maybe 10 of those ...the earliest memories i have are of 1998.....2014 being of my favourites and 2018 arguably being one of the most competitive...i will try to experience this once in person. |

| Canada is bound to get some good games being one of the hosts of the world cup. My guess is US of A will get the final and at least one of the two semis while Mexico might get third place match and probably a semis. Canada's last match as a host might be a quarter final. :stongue: |

If we want to step up to being an elite team we need our players to play at an elite level for their clubs. I know it's a very young squad, but the only one to win a Champion's League is Cahill, who is ancient and barely played. Contrast that with Croatia, who have at least eight CL winner's medals to their name.
Walking home from the pub on Wednesday, it started raining for the first time since the World Cup started. The universe is not without an inbuilt touch of poetry. |

| I'm expecting a full strength and un-pressured Belgium to pump us in this play-off. We played their reserves in the group but this side today is the strongest we've faced, stronger than Croatia. |

Honestly I think I would have preferred to see a Belgium - Croatia final. France is very good but they just don't seem to have a lot of style.
Plus England and France going at each other for third place would have been pretty epic.

| Actually we've got our passing game going now and look okay. Sterling is still wasting every chance he gets though. These games are normally high scoring and pretty open, so as long as we keep playing calmly it should be entertaining. |

| What a brilliant game this is. Christ knows how there haven't been more goals. |

Belgium have installed magnets around the goalposts or something. I don't get why our game against them didn't have more goals either :p
I guess this is it. English fourth again. Nothing to be ashamed about, last time we finished four we conceded 10 goals in the last two matches :D |

| Couldn't see the match, but if Meunier would have played against France Belgium maybe would have played tomorrow. He's one of their best this WC. |

It's called Raheem Sterling. That guy could not hit the wide side of a barn with a 1000 handfuls of corn. I just don't understand why he started every game. It's beyond me. Maybe he'll be too old for the next tourney but either way, I hope he never gets a start again in the England squad. |

| He's only 23. We'll be watching him stink out the place for years to come. There seems to be this bizarre blindness in some people to how he is. 44 games for England and 2 goals. |

Seemed appropriate for some reason ;)
