Haha, the best thing happened in my flight to Seoul. Because we couldn't follow the last quarterfinal, the captain would keep giving us updates - in Portuguese, only.
Hearing something along the lines of "Ladies and gentlemen, this is you captain speaking. Croatia and Russia are tied 1-1, and the match is going extra time" was probably the most Brazilian thing I've ever heard :p
