| I'm pleased this game is going to penalties because it will give England a physical advantage in the semi final. That said, I really don't like the idea of playing Russia in front of their home fans. They're not a great team but they have incredible spirit. They'll probably win this shoot out now with the whole stadium behind them. |

Pickford has been a ing superstar so far, and both goals were class. We really just seemed dangerous. i don't want to overblow it as Sweden wasn't exactly an elite team, but England just looked like they had decided they were the better team and were going to thump Sweden. We really should have 3 or 4 up had it not been for Sterling's lack of finishing ability but I at least give him the credit for getting in to those chances.
Croatia it is then! I would have preferred Russia from a player standpoint, but not a home fan base, so bring it on! |

Pure madness. Whatever happens from now on, this is surely the best World Cup of my lifetime. Shocks, drama, massive knock out games, and a half-decent England team.
Belgium-France will be a blockbuster, and we can't underestimate Croatia. They haven't played well in the knock outs but their central midfield is pure fire, and we'll be the first team they've played since Argentina to attack in numbers, which will give them space to play. |

Great spirit? They were Fined for Waving the Neo Nazi flag. No wonder the state of western democracy is in the gutters. We live in an era where a mass murdering thug like Putin is praised by the right wing normies.
Russia was jacked up on drugs, bunch of corrupt cheaters. They cannot play Football to save their lives.
