Let me know how Armin was tonight guys!

I wish I could have gone, but damn it, I'm only 20!! :(

Armin did a great set when I saw him at The Church last year.
MindShifter
I enjoyed myself, his set was erratic though, no real flow, almost as though he was just randomly throwin records together. Tracks that I recall

Roland Klinkenberg - Monday Groove

Mark Norman - Phantom Manor

These 4 in a Row
Nu-NRG - Free Fall
4 Strings - Into the Night (Some remix I'd never heard before)
Above & Beyond - No one on Earth (G&D Remix)
Tiesto - Adagio for Strings

Underworld - Born Slippy (Oakenfold Remix)

Armin - Communication 2004 <--- Highlight of the Night for me in addition to Nu-NRG

Encore
Armin van Buuren - Burned with Desire (dunno what remix, nothin new though)

Pretty sad that I could ID this many tracks considering I haven't had internet for over a month now, furthermore there were some other tracks at the beginning that I know but I can't actually recall the names of :thepirate
Anyways, bring on sasha for real set structure plus lots of tracks I don't know:D

shhhhhhhhhh, don't tell anyone.....

I was just a little bit disappointed with this set. I should learn not to have high expectations form the DJ. I listen to ASOT every week, so maybe I am spoiled now, you know, *newest tunes selected*….. Armin did exactly the opposite, *oldest tunes selected* One hour into the set I was looking for a corner to crawl into and take a nap. The set was entirely to chill, no progression, it went absolutely nowhere very fast. Each and every transition was the same bass line. I could not believe it, 60-second bass line between each track, all exactly the same at each and every transition. I am convinced that all the clubbers want to hear is the driving bass all night long, and have no clue of what the DJ’s capabilities are.

All in all I had a fun night tho, meet up with some peeps that had no clue what they were listening to, they thought it was a good set. It was a good set, I guess…. I was dancing the whole night, yes it was a good set, nothing trancetastiK, just good. It would have been much better if he spun this set a year ago……. Too many oldies, Maybe Armin did not want to bring along his new vinyls, you know how your things always get screwed up on airlines.

I found it absolutely disturbing that Armin would spin *Burned with Desire* for the encore *bangs head on bar*. I immediately headed for the exit. The set was over and I was not going to stick around to listen to this (like taking a giant sleeping pill). I am not bashing Armin, I just expected much more from him. I tried to keep track of the tracks and this is what I came up with, I may have missed some.

Whoa *wipes sweat from brow* I'm glad I was not the only one feeling like that.

Well you were right about the Katana - In Silence (Txitarro Remix) song however he played Nu-NRG - Free Fall, not Connective, also there was definately Oakies remix of Underworld - Born Slippy NUXX in there somewhere and believe me this is why I only go to specific djs, there woulda been a time where that night woulda floated my boat just fine, however now I'm much more critical about these things, and djs in particular.

*Edit* I'm almost 100% positive it was Tiesto's mix of Adagio as well. . .

Mindshifter, I always get Free Fall and Connective mixed up. It's hard to remember all these ID's. Thanks, I will change the list. I have not listened to much of Oakie as of late and not familar with Underworld - Born Slippy NUXX. Maybe it belongs in one of these slots which I could not ID
14. ID?
15. ID? - Hard Trance
16. ID? Screeching metallic guitar sux tune

I don't think it was Tiesto's Adagio, it just didn't have the power, I thought it was either original or
William Orbit - Adagio For Strings (Mat Siver & Tony Burt Mix)
but I am not 100% sure on that either. I should start bringing laptop to club. :tongue3
MindShifter
LOL that'd be a sight to see! Anyways Born Slippy a classic Underworld track, if you've ever seen the movie Trainspotting its in there and on the soundtrack. Also I thought he played monday groove a lot earlier in the night than you have it on your TL, I could be wrong though;)

BTW Born Slippy NUXX would definately be in the ID section of your TL
