Well the assumption was that they'd be upstairs, our only debate was how the hell are they gonna fit them all up there. I knew that Burridge was playing in the basement and w/ the early start time as all the flyers have that listed on them. Still remains to be seen how they expect to fit WoW upstairs for a 'live' performance. |
oh theyll fit up upstairs, it was an effort to make the stage look even a fifth full in boulder without their new drummer. it doesnt take much for them, just a couple of g5s and turntables and a mike for Omi. i guess drums too...dunno

lol... no, it's a water. Although you should have seen the performer's rooms backstage Each one had a full top-shelf bar, mixers, platters of food, bangin' system and tv playing the stage sound and video from the jumbo trons. Rooms even had showers, but the whole place smelled like cause they had a plumbing problem!
ahhh, memories. That was a blast. You should see our denverunderground.com DVD of the event, it's sick... |
I was back there. There were a crap ton of people hanging back there, it seemed.
MS - I don't know how they're going to arrange it, but I imagine they'll have it sorted. When are you guys heading down there. I gotta stop by La Sala for a bit to support a friend and Lotus for a bit as well. I will probably still try to get there fairly early. Cheaper cover that way, I believe. |

| How was WoW and Burridge? |

umm...nice of them to show up? and WoW left in a Prizm.
well that horse about Burridge starting the basement at 1030 was a lie...they put everyone on the main floor and whoever WERENT Burr and WoW got the most stage time, and the first vocalist was terrible...
WoW came on very late, after we had already started asking around about how to get our money back. played a hour set i guess with Apollo and Killa thrown in. Omi did Mindcircus too - but her mic was turned up so loud she sounded on the floor. all muddy and crappy.
VINYL NEEDS A SOUND ENGINEER WHO DOESNT HAVE HIS HEAD UP HIS ASS!
i even went up to the booth a couple times to try and find Liz to talk to her - to no avail. this show was the exact opposite of SK. seemed as tho nothing went right and no one was there to talk to or help the *customers*
...nice to see Nick Jody and Omi tho. lol at the kid who was saying 'ill let Nick come spin at my house afterwards if he wants to'

| Haha, I've heard tons of horrible sound engineers working in places they shouldn't be. I could do better than these guys and I'm a music student... |

WOW am I disappointed.
LOL about Devon thinking they would go to afterhours. It was his roommate, who bartends there, claiming they would. I figured that is something to take with a grain of salt. Once in a rare while does something like that happen.
Nick was looking old though. What's he like 45? |

lol it was that good huh? Glad I didn't go, I don't have money to spare on ty shows yet:thepirate That's a dissapointment after Sander, but about the sound engineering..as I think Nite said it was too loud that night, to the point of distortion...I've *never* had my ears ring that long, and now that I think about it they rang horribly after Dieselboy just a week ago; even though I've been pretty trashed both nights I can distinctly remember noticeably muddier sound and distortion than I ever heard at the Church..I've stood near speakers like we did plenty of times for the whole night, so it's not just that-I don't think the 'engineer' just ed up last night, it's an ongoing thing..it needs to get sorted either way though.
Either that, or they offer a hobo off of Broadway a sandwich just before the show to check the levels:stongue: |

| Something needs to get figured out, either way. I will probably steer clear for a bit, until someone I really want to see is coming. I will be ditching my hockey game on Thursday for Luke Fair and Zabs though. |
