it was ok. it really wasn't much of a break because i was just sitting in my office staring at TA for 8 hours a day...so about a typical day for me HAHAHAA :p
how was your week jules?
oh and i hope you have a good time tonight at the church...i know it'll be hard without me around, but do try hehehe :stongue: |

Hey guys, what's going on! I'm a TA from Montreal (Canada, you know way up north...think igloos) staying in Boulder for the next 2 months! And I was trying to find the denver forum, but I guess this is the next best thing! Anyhow, just saying wussup.
Last night was my first official night out in Denver! We went to the pepsi center to see the Nugs thrash the Lakers, then headed off to the Church! Seems to be the place to be for techno/trance/house etc. Have any other suggestions for good times? Adam Beyer was fricken off the hook! The place was pretty packed, well I was surprised considering it was on a Thursday night. The sound was good, and the club is HUGE! I pretty much stayed near the front of the dancefloor, vodka redbull in hand and going nuts!
I was amazed at the female/male ratio too! A typical techno event in Montreal (which is only afterhours) is probably 80% sausage fest. Last night at the Church, there were chicks everywhere! definite plus. Perfect example: this one chick came up to us early on, asks us for cigarettes, then flashes us repeatedly over 5 minutes. WTF! I LOVE DENVER :D
Anyways, I'm hoping to hit up Carl Cox next week. Saw him in Ibiza this summer, and he's not to be missed. I see Ferry Corsten is coming in April too, so I hope to hit that up too.
Anyhow hope to meet up with some of you at some point during my stay! take it easy! |

Let me be the first to say Welcome to Colorado! There's a lot of dj's thats coming out within this next couple of months. Don't miss Steve Porter @ Church on Friday, April 1. Also Junkie XL @ vinyl on the 2nd. And if you wanna see Dave Aude, Deepsky, and Jon Bishop theres gonna be a party @ Cervantes on April 9.

LOL, what's funny though, is the party I was supposed to play at tonight got broken up by the cops within an hour...I mean seriously, who the breaks into a furniture warehouse or something and expects to have no problems? |

ehh my week was ok, just the same old thing with class, found that i have 2 exams next week which sucks!!! oh wells :p Church was a blast up til Sean Cusik's set which lasted, to me, forever, his track selection in the last hour he played was horrible... :whip: i even heard him play michael jackson - beat it! :wtf: |
