soooooo late sasha review
sasha was on at 10:50 when we got there which surprised the out of us. we apparently got there for his first track according to other people who were there.
lavelle was no where to be found, farley and i were starting to wonder if our dreams of seeing sasha play by himself for 3+ hours were going to come true.
he was building quite nicely. then i saw lavelle come into the booth :\
he immediately killed the flow of the evening with his first track, which was some weird rock infused edm song.
i must say compared to the first time i saw him, his mixing improved, however thats not saying much, several trainwrecks through out the evening. he even managed to stop/eject/or restart a track (Booka Shade - Mandarine Girl) on the cdjs.

all in all i liked sasha's residency here, even if he did only play 2/3 of the gigs.
i probably would have liked it more if i hadn't seen his 2 gigs in LA tho. |

Ok I haven't posted here in a long while...
But Howells was pretty tight, He played upstairs so it was a completely different vibe...
Mason and I saw a completely wasted asian girl...
not so much a review as a I saw Mason post :P . |

pretty tight son! i couldn't place any of the tracks like a complete n00b hahah :p. he just started banging it straight off with some really nice housey stuff. he really knows how to work some tracks together. got a little techy towards the middle and then started dropping some more bombs towards the end of the night. his encore closer was huge! couldn't make out the lyrics though.
but yeah pretty good stuff son. like you said i'd really like to see what he can do with a proper set time a good 5-6 hours, but it didn't really feel random or anything...
we missed you son! i can't get all crazy when you're not there hahaha :p. i need more whiteness dancing around hahaha:stongue:
hope you had a good time up at fort collins though...drunken fireworkds sounds like a good night haha :p |

nice, thanks for the review, i was quite bummed that i couldnt go, ft collins was fun, but after i realized i wasnt gonna make it to danny i didnt enjoy it as much.
oh well C'est la vie |
