There is good news. Markus Schulz (who we didn't even know was coming until Monday) will still be playing. And Armin will be in the States for a couple of weeks & wants to try & make the gig up very soon. I'll keep you posted.
Hope to see some of you supporting Markus tonight!

| Well Max tore up as usual! Unfortunately for him he didn't look to thrilled 'bout being the "warm up" dj for Armin. He finally started getting into it towards the end, which is a shame coz his set was in great. We were yelling/trying to support him as much as we could but dtown really didn't show love until it was almost time for Armin to come on. However I did have a couple of peeps ask me who the dj was, one proceeded to tell me that he came for armin (shocker) the other was a girl who was genuinely impressed w/ max. Hopefully they'll bring him back soon for a proper set. He did drop the King Unique mix of Ride, which is funky as . Also dropped a couple of other tracks I knew but can't actually ID :p Armin started his set off with Interstate - I Found U, after that we went to the basement for the D&B :p |

Armin was sick, same with Max Graham however I was very dissapointed near the end me and my freind Tim waited to get a pic with armin, jus because it was so crowded and right as it was our turn, the in security guard kicked us out without letting us take lieka 1 second picture ing bull...tru fans being mistreated... the church

The Church is pretty rogue ghey like that, especially if its nearing 2:00. They are always pretty adamant about clearing everyone out as fast as possible. Pretty lame.
I didn't make it down last night, even though I would have gotten in free with last weeks tix. Kinda dissapointed, sounds like it was a good night.
Did anyone else hear that pvd cancelled?? |

PvD mustve been afraid to get shown up by Boy George...heh
Only caught the last 5 or 6 songs of Max's set but he was on point as usual. He played his remix of Yess - Owner of a Lonely Heart (cheesy but killer) and Deep Dish - Flashdance...these brought the crowd alive at the end. Those of you who missed Armin at the end shoulda come for Max, we had a nice little chat with him after his set. I dont think Ive ever met a more down to earth DJ. (Yeah Ive met Armin, its a shame hes Dutch - usually Dutch people are funny and cool)
Oh yeah, Armin did play 'I found U' first. That was interesting but I figured that song came alive on a club system - and it doesnt. Other than that Armins set was boring as piss, so we spent our time alternately flipping him off or on the roof patio.

Sorry guys, its not that the security wants to be dicks to you. Its that The Church can be fined for having patrons inside after 2:00am. And they may have been particularly adamant because last night there were vice cops inside & they received 5 tickets even before 11:00pm for underage drinking. It's really not as simple as security just wanting you to leave.
PVD did not cancel. He'll be at The Church Oct. 28.
Thanks to those who did come out; it was a great night.

| you need to get Max back for a proper night...perhaps at Vinyl or summin. he was pissed and hes a ing awesome guy to get that pissed. ive seen the church 1/3 as full and he was having a great time cause likely even those that didnt know who he was left fans...| |

Damn, I woulda thought there was a time frame to clear people out. I didn't know it was right at 2am. With that underage drinking thing does the church get fined for that or is it just the kids who get in trouble?
Other than that I had a blast last night. Max looked really pissed off at the beginning of his set so me and Mindshifter were yelling and pointing at him to show him some support. He cracked a slight smile. I'm glad the dancefloor was fully packed for the end of Max's set, he deserves it. I hope Max comes back to the church and isn't put off by what happened last night. Almost all of us TA's chatted with Max and we knew he was irritated. |

I've had situations like that, but I just say I'll be real fast about it and they almost always let me chat/take a pic. I wouldn't right the church off just cuz of one incident... |
