Hey... what are your impressions of my track above?
(omit the fact that overall structure repeats, because it does, waiting for vocalist) |
I like it, and I like the main 'warm' synth if you understand what I'm mean-not quite a banger, but a good transition track; but the track as a whole sounds more like a remix of Someone Like You, or whatever the hell that track was called from a few years back (SLY was the main vocal chorus) than a completely new track...the bassline and synth that comes in around 50 secs sound tremendously like the original did imo, as does the 'sweeping' synth throughout the track.
I'm not the biggest fan of Chandiss, although I've only heard her sing live over Kostas, and again somewhere else, can't remember...but hopefully she compliments the track well:) |

Check out this track I'm working on, it's pretty sick...

Some of you may know Chandiss, whom I'm working with to lay some vocals. The overall structure is still basic, but a re-worked final cut in about a month or so... let me know what you think so far though!!!
NITEMER! this could've been your track too if we had ever gotten in the studio like we have been talking about... lol but now you know at least what I'm capable of... you should run this by your buddy you were telling me about, see what he thinks.

It'll happen. I got sick at the tail end of the weekend and haven't felt motivation to do anything. I can't listen to anything at work where my internet access is, so I'll have to swing by to hear the track. Hopefully I'll be healthy by the weekend, and we can get together. |

As long as the virus has left my body, I will be there. WOW performing live. I gotta see that. Damn it was loud in there, though. It was almost too loud. |

well you were shouting right next to the speakers! hehe.
i suppose we could have stood somewhere else but whats the fun in that.
ill likely be down, this having a job thing is a pain - but the having money thing rocks! Chad, expect myself. Kyle may be able to, as well as others but im not counting on much. May be a busride for me but itd be worth it.
where do you think theyll play? im thinking the top floor since they have 3 listed acts and theres no way they could set up with Nick, Jody, Omi, their new drummer - and whatever else - in that booth...
ps...this one is called KILLA!| |

Cool I'll be home 'round 7. If you have to do the bus thing let me know, I'll come pick you up again, thats no big deal. We need to get some quality boozin in before we go out tho. We should deffo get there to check out burridge, christ I hope some people are there, I'd hate it to be like it was for Max or J'00'F where I'm embarrassed for them b/c there's hardly any peeps. I honestly have no idea where they'll put WoW I was thinkin the same thing. We shall see I guess. |

As quoted from the MHH mail list...Note the early start time...
| quote: | LEE BURRIDGE (UK / TYRANT / FABRIC / GLOBAL UNDERGROUND)
You all know this man. One of the best DJ's in the world and part of the indestructable force known as TYRANT (with partner Craig Richards). We're skipping the big room hooplah and putting him in a dirty basement with a big soundsystem. Small room, intimate atmosphere, and one truly incredible DJ.
*Arrive early as this event is set to hit capacity *Lee Burridge will be starting things up early at Vinyl (10:30PM)
*One big DJ in one small venue, small venue.

| Is that a beer in Van Dyk's hand and is that from GDF? He looked like he had a stick up his ass the whole time. |

lol... no, it's a water. Although you should have seen the performer's rooms backstage Each one had a full top-shelf bar, mixers, platters of food, bangin' system and tv playing the stage sound and video from the jumbo trons. Rooms even had showers, but the whole place smelled like cause they had a plumbing problem!
ahhh, memories. That was a blast. You should see our denverunderground.com DVD of the event, it's sick... |

Well the assumption was that they'd be upstairs, our only debate was how the hell are they gonna fit them all up there. I knew that Burridge was playing in the basement and w/ the early start time as all the flyers have that listed on them. Still remains to be seen how they expect to fit WoW upstairs for a 'live' performance. |
