Thank god that girl isn't there anymore. She had toe the size of Nebraska, plus everyone was so mystified by a lady on a rope that had to block the entire dancefloor...
Either that or glowsticks. People here act like they've never seen a pair, and make a huge circle around the person so it blocks the floor to. Come on people:rolleyes:
I don't think the Church really cares how they compare to others, they're really just taking over Vinyl until it's rebuilt as the edm enthusiest's club. The largest part that comes to mind is just how damn far the dj is from the floor, where at vinyl they could really interact with the crowd, and hopefully they'll keep that the same throughout the remodel. I think the concept of having a club in a church sounds much better than the reality we have, it could be alot better. And it seems with the current renovations they're really turning it into a place for the average "I gotta get some ass tonight" joe who couldn't give less of a about the music...
HURRY UP AND FINISH VINYL ALREADY, AND BRING BACK SOMA WHILE WE'RE AT IT!!!! |
Exactly!! When I was there the dancing basically got cut off around 10:30 because the go-go dancers came out then the nikita dancers came out then the porn star came out with the nikita dancers.....All the guys were drooling so bad that the entire floor was at stand still all night. It was a great party still, but no dancing most fo the night. Good thing I had alcohol lol |

Lets hope that Paul's crowd is a little better than normal since it's not at a typical club. Hopefully it'll be a music crowd.
Unfortunately Thursdays always have a somewhat ty crowd being 18+, and I can't exactly bash this policy seeing as how I'm 20 myself, but I think it should be based on your passion for music on nights the big name djs come, rather than letting in every douche bag just there to get drunk and get ass just b/c they're over 21. There are 6 other nights of the week when clubs are meant for that sort of , how bout just one day for a music crowd. Or maybe they should just make an exception for me, that would work.
Christopher Lawrence had a fackin sweet night, it was an all music crowd, and it was so much smaller than any other time I've been there. So much room to move, we need more nights like that. |

So you'd honestly rather go see micro than armin or ferry?:eyes: :nervous: |

Man you guys are bat crazy.
BTW, I was kidding about Micro coming, but I bet you won't have to wait long. He's too bad to get booked out of the country for big events like Armin or Ferry, so he's always hanging around the US and comes about every month or so for Nocturnal Playground or some . If you wanna hear year old tracks and bad mixing go ahead and spend the money. Luckily last time I wasted Mindpoopers:D I guess it would be a good time like Mr Digityl will tell you, if you get trashed like he did and don't really pay attention to the mixing/track selection. But for my cash I'd rather listen to cheesy 80s dance tunes while getting hammered then seeing Micro again.
Just my opinion. |

| I gotta agree with pagoda, I saw micro in DC in may and he was only alright. Though, the crowd was pretty lame everyone was just sitting around rolling face and massaging eachother instead of dancing and getting into the music so that may have played a part. It seemed like a place all the under 21 kids went to roll so their parents wouldn't see but towards 5-6am the lame crowd was gone and DJ Illusions spun a ing sick set. What was the deal with Soma? Why'd it close? The guy who lived in the apartment below me was resident there on some hip hop night, but when they closed he didn't say much about it. Was it any good? |
