If you think stroking idiocy is the mark of being "open-minded", then good for you. For the rest of us, to put it mildly, I'm allergic to idiocy. Not calling you an idiot. But the vast majority of anything a 9/11 truther has to say is idiocy, and should be dismissed out of hand, and harshly scrutinized.
The 9/11 truther's foundation is itself a logical fallacy. A false dichotemy to be exact. "If we disprove the official 9/11 report, then by default we are right!" You know who else relies on this line of reasoning? Creationists. If you believe the earth is 6000 years old, then good for you, but don't be surprised if someone calls you not an idiot, but a ing idiot.
The opinion of a 9/11 truther means ZERO to me. Until you people come up with POSITIVE evidence of anything, that can be used in a court of law to convict somebody, in addition to publishing genuine peer-reviewed research, then anything you have to say is on the level of a fringe wing nut radical. 100% rhetoric, no substance. That's why you are very much on the level of a creationist, holocaust denier, and yes, global warming denier too. |

Speaking of global warming, do you happen to have a link to the actual temperature measurements that give evidence to this trend? The last I looked into it, the temps had stopped rising in 2001, prompting GW proponents to change the name to "climate change".
Please don't get me wrong, by no means do I believe we humans are NOT ing up the earth, but "global warming" itself I've seen little to no numerical evidence for, mostly due to a lack of caring, since I live in Canada and want the snow to melt faster. |

I know more about the 911 conspiracy theories than anyone who has posted in this thread. I am thoroughly well-versed in all the major talking points from your idiotic movement. I also know they are without foundation. I am unwilling to engage you people in debate because there is no debate, and you people are incapable of doing a little critical thinking. you are unable to tell good evidence from bad, you are unable to answer questions. FYI 2010 is set to be the warmest, or second warmest year on record (after 1998, which was exceptional due to el nino). you can head over to realclimate.org for nice bullet-point facts if you like. |

Modern psychology disagrees: our memories are error-prone and subject to modification by many different forces. It is for this reason that eyewitness testimony is not considered a high standard of evidence. People are too easily led. "Did you see a missile strike the Pentagon?" vs "What did you see strike the Pentagon?" vs "What happened at the Pentagon?" can produce wildly inconsistent results depending on the level of suggestion. So, no, your common sense opinion is not well-founded.

Climate change is a consequence of global warming much like increased glacial melt rates, sea level rise, ocean acidification, enhanced photosynthesis, etc. There are a number of interlinked phenomena that result from GHG fertilization of the atmosphere that aren't entirely encapsulated by the phrase "climate change" so global warming it is--since that accurately describes the problem.

Even if temperatures had stopped rising in 2001 this wouldn't be a big deal. Anthropogenic warming is superimposed on natural cycles that proceed on many different time scales (e.g. the ~11 year solar cycle, the Milankovitch cycles, etc.) so there will always be some amount of natural variability involved. It's the decadal trend that matters--and that shows unequivocal warming corresponding to the IPCC projections. |
