HOLY TTTT!!!! i was just checking this site with japanese players stats... the catcher for the yomiuri giants, Shinnosuke Abe, is INSANE!! the dude is 24 years old. this is his 4th season in the league. are you ready for this??

37 games. <<< keep that in mind

.368 avg, .456 obp, .875 slug ( !!! ), 21 homers, 45 rbi.

to put that in perspective, this is barry bonds' numbers so far:

.360 avg, .628 obp ( !!! ), .840 slug, 10 homers, 22 rbi.

now, bonds overall numbers are better, but... this is BARRY BONDS. the best play of our generation. abe is just some new comer. his ops is 1.331 compared to bonds' 1.468, that is incredible. i hope the mets are in need of a catcher when this kid is able to come to mlb. WOW! 37 games, 21 hrs...

damn thats crazy he would be in the top 3 in all offensive categories

tied for 3rd in avg with melvin mora. 1st in homers. 1st in rbi. thats awesome. i head he has an uppercut, a la burnitz. so if he does come to n america, he will whiff more than cameron.

glaus is gonna have shoulder surgery and is gonna miss most of the season he was doin really good for me dammit. he was my only 3rd baseman for my fantasy team. i just picked up carlos guillen hes not doin that bad 42 hits .316 avg 3 hrs and 22 rbis he has less power but more hits and better avg then glaus so i guess its an ok trade off

all the more reason for the mets to trade piazza to the angels if we're doing ty.

but i've been reading a lot of article saying that if, in a month from now, we are still in contention, duquette has the ok from wilpon to make a trade or two. freddy garcia, kris benson, beltran and soriano are the names being thrown around most. but ALL teams are interested in these guys, so we'd likely have to give up MAJOR prospects... which i wouldn't do for any of those guys. not even beltran.

just watched the last few innings of randy johnson's perfect game. i switched back and forth between that the mets game. and the mets win with two outs bottom 9th :)
