But Brian... even with all that, I've yet to see 1 beautiful right handed swing. I mean... there's gotta be a hand full somewhere, right?
In anycase, King Felix is actually human:

it's just the natural ability of left handed verse right handed. left handed batters are glorified since their swing is so natural ie: the fundamentals of swinging at an inside pitch. not so with right handed batters since right handed hitters like the ball in the middle outside half of the plate where they can extend their arms. It's completely true, a home run to a lefty is like a big pull shot (ie: bernie williams the other night both inside bitches both hit to RF). You won't see a right handed hitter pull the ball like a left handed pitcher. Classic right handed power house, Mark McGuire, he'll hit bombs to center and right center field but he'll hit liners ala gary sheffield to right. The "swoop" or "swish" of a swing is when the body and the swing are in one (usually when you turn on an inside pitch). you don't swoop or swish to the opposite field, you stay compact and drive through the zone to the opposite field. That's why alot of righties don't have that "butter" swing. That always beautiful swing, they are more of an outisde extend your arms and power through the ball hitters. The only left handed batter that I've seen with power to all fields and the most feared on the inside plate is Bonds. Ortiz? Still no match in my opinion, he's pitchable if you can get him to hit your pitch...that's the way i see it. |

Yes. He could get an RBI hit everytime he's up with the game on the line. |
