He used to just blow it by people and now he has to change speeds and pitches constantly. If he was doing that 5 years ago... I don't even want to think about. What if Ken Griffey never got injured? What if Mickey Mantle took more care of himself? So many... I just accept the players for who they are and what they do and try not to think about what if things were different.

I don't like wasted talent though like Strawberry. It's a shame I guess. But being lazy is one thing. Being arrogant with his 97 mph heater is another story. I'll take the arrogance anyday over the laziness.

Griffey's on fire right now.

To the rest of the baseball world yes it did make an impact but i think the greatest impact to the yankees wasn't losing soriano but losing Nelson. I still am and always will be a fan of Jeff Nelson now that's the perfect setup man for Mo.

Well... Gordon did a pretty good job last year, man.

But look... if the Sox had gotten Rodriguez, they had a trade in place to send Nomar to the White Sox for Magglio Ordonez as well. Which means there would've been no trade for Cabrera, Mientkiewicz, and Dave Roberts mid-season. The non-trde of Rodriguez to the Sox is probably what won them a championship.

I'm not taking anything away from Alex Rodriguez here... I think he's the best player in baseball.

I still think nelson is the especially with Mo behind him - what the hell does he have to worry about?

I don't know really. I've always thought about it. Is Manny a Red Sock? No... he's a person. And a member of the Red Sox. So I've always just said "He's a Red Sox." Heh...

I don't know. Haha... it's weird. I only do it with the Red Sox and White Sox. Mike Lowell is a Marlin. Derek Jeter is a Yankee. Mike Piazza is a Met. J.D. Drew is a Dodger. But Frank Thomas is a White Sox. :clown:

With 3 more plate appearance, Juiceambi will qualify and lead the American League in On Base %. :wtf:
