as for the competition, their bullpens are stronger-
Braves got Kyle Farnsworth
Marlins got Ron Villone
It'll be interesting to see how Cubs do after getting Nomar, Wood (going to the bullpen), and Scott Williamson back. They also got Matt Lawton from Pirates
meanwhile, Mets have the return of Trachsel and Kaz Matsui to look forward to :rolleyes:
It's also too bad that the Braves don't have to face the Astros for the rest of the season
Not fair, cuz the Astros were beating up on everyone else in the NL East
In the Astros and Rockies series, the Mets waited til the series finales to start hitting. In each of those games, they scored more runs that all the previous games for each series combined, where they made spot starters look like Cy Young. They also wasted great performances by Pedro and Glavine.
In the AL, it would be an interesting story if Alan Embree, who was cut by the Red Sox, helps the Yanks beat the Sox.
However, the bullpen isn't looking too good right now. They should thank the Blue Jays for that 18-inning game that wore out the Angels bullpen. |
