I have read it, and it's one of the things I live by. I respect the opinions of others. My opinion is that I don't like ASOT. Nowhere do I force that on others. I simply voice it. What the thread-starter said was that people who dislike ASOT or tunes or the like should not speak their mind at all, and I am speaking out against it because this is a neutral board. The point here is that I have my opinions, other people have their own. I voice them, as do they.
You're just going to have to learn to deal with it. |

When I say that I don't like ASOT, and that I think it's causing a lack of creativity, nowhere am I trying to "convert" anybody. I'm voicing my opinion.

So you're saying that those of us who feel the majority of ASOT-aired tunes are over-rated and are mediocre at best, generate from people liking mediocrity, and not something above what's being played on the radio, benefit from that?
What you came off as in your original post is that we should stop posting here if we dislike ASOT. I feel that's wrong. As I've said countless times in this thread, people don't like ASOT, and we're going to say we don't like ASOT. We're not going to conform to the masses just so we can post here. You'll just have to learn to skip over our posts. |

Maybe you guys just need to realize that your opinions aren't the most important in the world and it would actually make tranceaddict a better place if you didn't always voice them.
Subey makes some great points in his argument but you guys are sooo concerned about saving the future of trance that maybe you guys haven't taken the time to actually realize that most of the ASOT listeners will one day get sick of epic and move onto other forms of trance and that by pissing on them now and being complete utter ing s now they probably won't be listening to any of your suggestions which means that the future of trance most likely won't be heading in the direction that you want it to be. |

Well maybe you'll just have to learn to start skipping over everyones posts in your new threads about whatever dj your liking because there flaming the out of you and telling you your a ing sheep for following all the rest of the elitists. The thing is nobody is trying to say that ASOT etc are ing amazing in this thread there just asking for a stop to the flaming of people in every thread talking about ASOT etc. ASOT fans don't go into every other thread about non ASOT etc stuff to flame the hell out of you guys what makes you think that you should go into every thread about ASOT stuff and flame the people in there? |

This isnt really a good argument to me. TA is a great place because lots of people voice their opinions and because said opinons cover such a broad spectrum. Whether the opinions support or disagree with the general thoughts on the board is inconsequential.
What I do have a problem with is "elitists" who hijack legitimate threads about a new tune. But then again, if they back up their claim with evidence, there is no reason that their post cant exist simultaneously in a pro-single thread. These threads are for discussion; not solely praise and not solely bashing. |

Please understand the difference in these concepts.
Only 1 and 4 are radio shows which are exact estimate of what the DJ will play live in a club. 1 and 3 are just radio shows which do not reflect there true skills and presentation of that DJ in a club

I think people confuss the comment ASOt sh!t with an insult to Armin however i read it as rather an insult to the 'typical' trance tunes that make it on this rasio show. IMO Its difficult to find good quality trance tunes each week,not only within trance but with all music in gerneral. Music is an art not a product. It can not be made in mass quanities each week with the expectation that one will find quality. Art takes time to form. As a result ASOT has sacrificed quality in order to meet its demand for a weekly show. This is why ASOt is plagued with poor quality new trance tunes. Thus the jokes about ASOt type tunes has come into existance.

Yeah, and I responded to his original idea, as well. I said that we should be allowed to speak our minds about ASOT.
I do not think of myself as an "elitist." I think of myself as opinionated. Perhaps you should look where I post, and you'll realize that I don't go into threads about ASOT and post bad about them - I don't even go into ASOT-oriented threads, because I don't have any interest in them.
I respect the opinions of others. I am not insulting them or forcing them to think how I think. I am simply debating with them and letting them know how I feel, and they do the same. I don't hate people for listening to ASOT or playing ASOT-aired tunes, I think that they have their own opinion. What I dislike is the show itself; not the people. |

I'm sick of people randomly coming in and hijacking threads where people are having a good time talking about some Album, Song, Show etc that they like and being told that they shouldn't like it and that they are for liking it. Its not helpful and it doesn't need to be said. We know you guys don't like ASOT etc. I don't always like ASOT etc but your missing the point. Let people have there opinions and quit ripping into people for having there opinions in threads that they have created specifly about stuff that you don't like. Just don't enter the thread. Why is your opinion any better than the next persons, oh wait its not. so let the people who like ASOT talk about it in there threads free of harassment. |

| Idoru i didn't check up on where you post i'm just saying in general that there are people who go into those threads and just bash. I thank you for letting people discuss what they like without being harassed. I understand where your coming from on the ASOT thing too i don't always like the tracks he plays and most of them aren't that great usually, all i'm debating about is wether people can talk about what they love without being abused by the rest of the TA community. |
