Hardly. They are "the best" at the sappy formulaic trance sound, yes, but that's it. Hell, I should even give props to Markus for inventing a whole new genre. Maybe you've heard of it. This is why these forums are queer now....fuking n00bs acting like little girls when you bash Armin, ASOT or GDJB.....:rolleyes:
And even TTA is a little whiney bitch....crying "oh they sold out blah blah" stfu man..who cares if they sold out....you would do the same ....i LOVE when people bash DJs who made it big and are cashing in...jealousy at it's finest.
You say let them be TRUE to the scene, or whatever you say, but are you forgeting this is their career? You bashing them is no different then bashing a movie star like , mmmm i dont know...maybe like Denzil Washington or Tom Hanks for starring in big name movies instead of still doing indy films and staying "true to their artistic skills"...blah blah...grow up...who cares...bunch of nonsense...
I used to talk about Tiesto selling out...then i realized this guy is a smart motherfkr....he has gone from virtualy nothing to the biggest DJ of the day....he is touring the world and making more money then any DJ in history...and good for him...i mean he cant DJ forever and i am sure producing will end a few years after that...so whats he to do?...Will you give him a jobby job if he doesnt sell out? You know - cus he is staying true to the scene

Fact is most of these guys have zip to fall back on...so they HAVE to make it while they can...they have no retirement fund etc etc...

I never sold out...i grew up....big difference.... changes when you're on your own, paying your own bills, cooking your own food and not having mommy and daddy to bail you out....i am not 22 any more where i don't worry....i am at the point where i see the real world...and see that these guys HAVE to seize every chance they can to make it big...and if that means walking on a few heads...then so be it...they cant DJ forever... |

Honestly you have to give us better than that. Of course deejays have no retirement funds but they get paid rediculous amounts of money to play other people's records and they are treated like Gods, when they are just ed up people like you and me. I'm not saying don't make as much damn money as possible, I'm saying don't kill the ing scene while you do that, that was the entire point but sadly you missed that point, nothing new. Most of these deejays are making in excess of a million bucks a year, you tell me that they will have issues in the future. Hell, Frankie Knuckles is over 50, so is Graham Gold and they are still playing with no end in sight. |
