People disagree over music, but arguing who is right or wrong, or what is good or bad is mostly fruitless. I agree with most of your statements Cobalt - but ive also been taught by TA that checking out different and finding what you like regardless of elitism or laziness is what this site has finally become.
I think its stupid to post in this thread because its a waste of time...notice how Laushinmee showed up, L will flame for no reason at all.
I agree with many of the Armin statements here as I have seen him twice, met him once AND (he's boring as , in both aspects). but I dislike those who lord over everyone with their supposed musical elitism, its like the idiots in college who listen to random, terrible rock just to be cooler than most.

Biz, I'm a little bit less cynical of debate over what is good or bad; I think to a certain degree you can have reasons to support such arguments. Music will always have a strong element of subjectivity, but I think quality can be agreed upon to a reasonable degree.
Sorry if I was a bit sharp in reply; I just dislike when some people think they're wrapped up an entire debate thread with a one-liner, when others are trying to make a point.
Normally I wouldn't pile on all this effort, but I'm frustrated that people are deliberately trying to paint people with a lot of experience and passion for trance as somehow oppressive and immoral. This might be true for some people on these boards, but there are plenty others for who that isn't the case. |

wow. I think cobalts efforts have shed some new light on my prespective of this very looooong debate. I can probably see your fustration concidering your argumants are valid and have the meaning to support them. The response from most hasnt been as well thought out and has no valid argument, but instead they have become the bashing and the flaming they crtisize people like you to be. I think if people took the time to read what u have stated, and gave it some real thought, without bias beliefs they might be able to see some valid points. I know i have, and am dumbfounded to see that there hasnt been that many people to realise this as well. I want to thank you for your efforts, as you have brought up some very key points for this young padiwon to ponder. |

this is a discussion forum on the net. nowhere does it say only positive statements are to be made on this forum. i do agree however that if you're going to make a statement, good or bad, back it up. |
