He produced hardcore and gabber very early on, but after that it was techno and tech-trance.

Magik 3? Is that supposed to impress me? Never listened to the backstreet boys, but they still have more credibility than tiesto.

All his Magik series has pop music on it. What did you grow up on?

If you're telling the truth, you're a bigger fool than I tried to make out at first. |

TTA u asked what ruins the scene right...well this cat is a prime example of why the scene is ...little kiddies who got a Dell, hopped on the net, downloaded Sandstorm, left Rap, became members of TA and are now self-proclaimed scholars on the history of EDM... |

Yes but some of them do buy vinyl and CDs and support their deejays, when they play raves, since some are under age. Besides what I've already mentioned that is killing the scene, what about the lamers, I call them. People who just download CDs and sets and don't buy vinyl or CDs or go see deejays, they should be shot dead. To keep the scene going is a twofold problem, the deejays don't lose track nor do the buyers or fans.
As PvD once named his songs, it should be a rule for musicians

Kiddies who are computer chair ravers, who feel like theyve just been enlightened by mr tijs gouda ing sets, which are apparently mind blowing, only the sad truth is the good has been left way back in 97-01. Also these self-proclaimed "chairmen of the board" as i like to call them, believe that what is played on ASOT is underground, and what is in atm...this is their sad mindset. ACts such as above and beyond, sarah mclaughlin, and Armin van Buuren are the course of the day, these are the artists which are the heart and soul of trance nowadays, they apparently make quality music, if anyone spots any , please contact me at [email protected] , thank you to the ing geeks who shape todays trance scene via their computer screens, and vote for their asot fav's ala TRL. |

| That's the problem today, the voice of the people used to be on the dancefloor and in the clubs, it is now on the net run by somewhat American under 18ers. |

| Oh and know what else kills the scene? That retarted DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll, along with everyone who wastes the quarter of a second to vote. |

Markus Schulz has sold his sound out, remember when his sets used to be nice, before teh prog revolution which converted certain noobs, this is the exact man that has taken the word prog and spun it like FOX News politics, and ing tosses it around like its no ones business. His show/tracklist is almost a carbon copy of Armin van Borings, no wonder they collaborate/guestfeature eachothers shows. Schulz opened up prog trance to the masses, which just happened to be newbs....that is what you get when you cater to the masses of idiots instead of putting in ur own input into the matter.

I never really understood people obsession with Armin. Years ago when people asked me about Armin, i said he is a little kid copying Tiesto and Ferry. That's all he did back then if you ask me....
His productions suck if you ask me, unless he collabarates(sp?) with someone else and his shows are nothing special.
I place Armin in the same category as Gielen...fluffy floaty look at me i am so cool cus i took "E" crappy trance.
I never bothered with Markus.....i am not so keen on the radio shows...thats where i agree with TTA....and that guy Buster i wanna beat several times with a heavy piece of mining equipment...so i stay clear of GDJB with their prentious wanna-be old school van Diepen's Dance Department circa 1999. |

| If you want an example of someone that makes a load of money and still maintains his originality without selling out look at sasha/digweed. they always clock in at the top5 but if i got u a recent set of theirs it would be 90% IDs (definately not the case with a armin/tiesto set cuz they're not scared of you little bitches not liking it. the sound is consistently fresh, just like tiesto/armin/oaky used to be before they started playing it safe. so give up the argument that you cant be fresh and original and still make money, cuz trance is formulated ing crap now! it used to be a hybrid of all the styles (listen to ISOS3 or GU007) and now its just the same thing with no flow whatsoever. i'm cashed but all you whiny asot bitches, you make the scene uninhabitable sometimes. |
